ugh, toss loss against the Cards. We played well, but made key mistakes, and down to 1-5 we go. I'd bet we have the most losses of 3 points or less in the history of the league. Some day when i'm really bored I may check that.

Another win despite another game with a sub-par performance by the offense.

I now know that God is not a Canadian. Even with a few rookies working their way into the lineup, we had a potential game winning drive going in the 4th quarter.. only to be fumbled away.. yet another stop by our D is negated by yet another penalty. Just not meant to be this year, apparently.

Wow, we got completely embarrassed. Leslie Steiner completes 21 of 22 passes and we spot Anchorage a 21-0 lead before the offense decides to start clicking. Back to the drawing board.

i really needed Anchorage to get the win against LAS, just to keep them at 2nd place. week 11 and week 16 are gonna be really friggin huge. if we don't win one of those games then we're not doing anything this season.

this season is funny, i went into it expecting us to just go through the motions, not hoping for a bad season like last year (for a good pick) and not expecting the playoffs. you know, a normal mediocre season the Heroes are known for. they've surprised me thus far, i'm just going along for the ride. next week i test out my new ground game to see if i can get Renaldo Chapman more touches.

the power rankings in this game are broken. 0-4 St. Louis is rated 42, 3-1 California is rated 41. yeah, that makes a lot of sense. stupid game.

Time to test our mettle against Norfolk. Took the first of our two games last year when the game wasn't important, and Norfolk had a big comeback win against us in the second game. This game isn't nearly as important as our next game will be, but I still hope I win.

Good game Norfolk. Special teams killed us. Yours kept pinning us inside our 5 yard line it seemed and ours kept giving you the ball near midfield and we gave up a blocked punt. Other than that, I thought it was evenly played, you just made, maybe, two or three big plays and we made none.

Third down was killer for us too.

Onto next week.

Kozure ... I look forward to our games and spent a good deal of time on this week's gameplan. You had the superior players on the field which leaves me to rely on the intangibles, such as special teams to provide better field position throughout the game. Instead of modifying a game plan from one in my play book vault, I totally redid an offensive and a defensive gameplan for this game All in all, the game played out to what I expected playwise on both sides of the ball. The end result was a very even game, much like you described above. I needed this win to keep up with the rest of the conference for a possible playoff berth. But again it is really early in the season, and this team is just not a power trooper at all. See ya again in the last week of the regular season. Maybe, just maybe --- the W will result in big time W for one of us and insure a playoff berth!

Ugh...I don't know how we've won these last two games. It hasn't been pretty, basically we get ahead...we win, we get behind...we lose. We are bad statistically so I still predict we'll finish way below .500.

If Lansing can stop fumbling the ball then their +122 yards per game differential will start to return dividends.

Man, that was ugly but i'll take it. Good game Steve. There were more turnovers out there then in a bakery. I'm happy with my defenses play but we weren't facing a great QB so I dunno how good we really were.

I need to win at least 5 or 6 more in a row. Time to get on a roll.

At least some good news....after looking maxed out last week, Nicky "Nightmare" Doyle increases another point to 98/98. And it helps if I pay afuckingtention to my players, I forgot Rico Bailey had been injured and returned to full strength, however still had him number 3 in my depth chart. I played the champions down to the last second, I would have loved to see what I could have done with Bailey starting.

after looking maxed out last week, Nicky "Nightmare" Doyle increases another point to 98/98.

It's going to be interesting to see his stats as the years go on. Unfortunately my prediction is that he'll ultimately not have stats in the vacinity of what you'd expect exposing FOF's propensity towards offense once again. If that doesn't happen it'll be cool to have a legitimate shut-down corner in the IFL. I think Alonzo Lake might be the closest thing we've seen thus far but I could just be familiar with him because he's in my division and forgetting someone else.

Vemont's safety Bryan Gattis is a fucking playmaker, he's not even in my conference. i can only hope my rookie safety Rusty Shapiro develops into a Gattis-caliber safety.
