there's more to being a receiver than just catching the ball. it's what you do with the ball once you catch it have that counts. 100 rated in getting downfield and in avoid drops.

oh, and 100 rated in route running, which, in case you didn't know (which you obviously don't) is the most important skill for a FOF WR. thank you and have a good day.

I differ on that one. Yes I want high route running as long as everything else (or near everything) is high, but if all a guy has is high route running, I don't want him.

A high rating in route running will get you alot of throws his way. If it's not matched with other high ratings then he just sucks up throws that could go to a more capable WR.

          Are you debating yourself here?

I guess I'll go out and trade for one with the knowledge I've gained from you. Oh wait I already did last week (Marty Silvan) and have targeted high route running since 2K7 came out.

Now since you don't seem to know I'll let you in on a little secret: 3rd down is kind of important and a starting WR who has no 3rd down skills is no starting WR for a winning team. Sure, he'll get his 1000+ yards and 10 or so flashy plays in a given season while his team misses the post-season... again.

Any idea if the QB can help here? Part of my thinking in trading for Marty Silvan, though he doesn't exactly suck in non-route-running attributes, was that if he could run near perfect routes then maybe Stanfield can hit him with some near perfect passes to make up for his lack of adjusting to the ball and whatnot.

Exactly. And that is why I don't really make it a key to my WRs. I don't want the same guy getting the ball his way every time, even a star player.

With Silvan as a #3 WR, he is going to take chances away from Glover some I would say. Glover is pretty low in RR, but I would take him over Silvan, and I would rather Glover has the ball thrown to him then Silvan. What helps you some is that Greene is up there with 100 RR as well, so it shouldn't really hurt him as much.

I would like Silvan better if anything else was higher then it is. It will be interesting to see how he does for you.
