2012 Owner Predictions

In the spirit of Matt bringing up the Suicide Pick'em thing again, I figured another good one to bring back is the Owner Predictions Jeff started us on so long ago....

Here are the categories:

1. Predict your team's record
2. Predict the winner of your division
3. Predict the winner of your conference
4. Predict the Imperial Bowl winner
5. Predict a breakout player on your team
6. Predict your team MVP
7, 8, etc - Predict whatever you want

1. 10-6 (as I think I always pick)
2. Texas
3. Texas (I am hoping this is jinxing them)
4. Norfolk, one last ring for Lozier
5. Too many vets for anyone to really breakout. I will say DE Andrew Kinney, he will get over 10 sacks this year.
6. LB Kim Cortez, makes a huge impact moving from WILB to SILB.
7. RB Brian Dixon takes over Reno's Crosby for the all-time rushing lead.
8. Norfolk wins their division again (I need at least one lock prediction)

5. Predict a breakout player on your team - I don't really know if anyone will breakout this year. Maybe CB Nolan Lawson or DE Arnold Lantz. Maybe RB Alan Crespo has a nice season in a back up role
6. Predict your team MVP - The MVP will be QB Dwight Burger. Burger is our key to success
7. The NC East will be dominant outside of their own division.
8. QB Tobias Stanfield will refuse to go away!

7.) Due to the balance of the league and injuries one of the teams chosen by someone at this point to go to the post-season will end up picking in the top 10 (not via trade).

8) Wichita ends the regular season with the best record in the IFL... but does not win the Bowl as Murf finally hits on all cylinders in the post-season.

8. QB Tobias Stanfield will refuse to go away!

I'd hate to jinx myself here more than anywhere but this is almost a lock I'd think. Other than the random Bucky Beaver retirements don't the very high rated QBs always see their ratings drop for a few years before retiring somewhere about 15+ seasons into their careers? I'm expecting at least 2 more seasons (2013, 2014) of Stanfield.

I'm gonna go with myself but It's been a pretty open race for the past 4 years and I think any one of Houston, Stl or Murf could take it without it being a surprise.

5. Viper breakkout player: Victor Wynn hopefully picks up where Carter Deitz left off last season at WLB.

6. Viper MVP: "Finger" is the heart and soul of the Vipers.

7. Not a prediction but a wish: would love to see a rematch of Lawrence vs. Norfolk in the Imperial Bowl.
