I'm disappointed Conrad Boyer signed. He said he didn't want to sign until stage 4, so I didn't make an offer so I could see the going rate. Bad move on my part. That's what I get for trying to get in at the last minute and try to steal him away!

thats ok we weren't going after anybody important. mainly signing my restricted players.

seems like the bonus-stuff wasn't read by everyone..

case in point, MLB Hesse, signed a two-year contract with Pittsburgh for 1+2 mil with a 5 mil bonus.. I'm sure there are others, but next time we have a rule that needs manual intervention, we really have to make sure that everyone confirms they've read and understood the rule before we go ahead with FA..

I'm not trying to rack on Cy for not following this rule, I'm just saying that we need confirmation that everyone's read them.

Pittsburghs Contract with LB Emmanuel Hesse does not fit under the new rules. It will be voided tommorow and he will be available again following tommorows stage.

I'll admit I'm a bit extra testy since I gave him a damn fine offer, but I stayed without the boundaries of the rules. Had I not been involved in trying to sign the player, I probably wouldn't have been as upset, only had pointed it out.. but now I felt like I would have signed him if it hadn't been for the Pittsburgh offer and I've lost a bit of an edge in the offer-process.. sorry for ranting.

I completely understand Coder. This is one of those things that even if you're aware, once you're making your 7th or 8th offer of an export it could just slip your mind. I think as we get more used to it it should be less of an issue, hopefully.

BTW, I love r00k. He signed 2 players with the salary being exactly the same as the bonus amount for each year. That is playing by the rules. haha
