  • No problem, by the way my list is sent via pm to you, Roadrash and Hawkster. I am going to dl the league files, my main guy I may be working a trade for a player, so I may or may not want him, can I get a possible slight grace period. I am around, so I doubt I come anywhere close to the deadline, I just 15 minutes max to where my list doesnt get used!?

    • Hmmm, sammie as a WR. I may have to check how that turns out.
      I luv British womenz.

      • Sammie is a nice looking player as a fourth rounder. I had him on my short list in round 4. I think he was second on my list behind Anthony Hill CB who is will probably be a nickle or dimeback but brings other special teams skills to the table right away.

Depending on your depth Sammie may be able to start from day 1. So nice pick there.

        • Ignore what I said earlier and go ahead and use my list.

          Thanks!

          • Dang, I am really impressed with what Jave has done. His offense has a chance to be really explosive for the next several years or so.

I think he is set at qb, (not just talking about the rook, I am talking about overall depth)
That rb is going to be a f'n stud.
He has a pimp at wr though he definitely needs a partner in crime imo.

He has 2 very good offfensive lineman and 2 up and comer's. I think he definitely has one hole there and the depth to be frank sucks.

Even when his team doesn't score a td, he now has a fantastic punter and kicker for the next 12-15 seasons or so.

            Well done.

I disagree. I think he's at least a few years off and by that time who knows what his roster will look like. I think these latest FOF 5 updates are going to play havoc with his little draft young players and re-sign them cheaply strategy. I'm still of the opinion that he mades his team significantly worse with the JaveGate trade. That Week 13 matchup with Pittsburgh looks to be another good one.

Sov your insane. So you would have me keep Woods, and remain with NO offense whatsoever? A QB who threw..what....13 interceptions in the first 9 games before going down. Now my RB played hard, yet he wasn't the answer. And the lack of quality QB's in this league make a possible trade nearly impossible. My team is now more balanced, although very young still, however, by the end of this year, I believe you will see my team starting to mature, and I will be right on schedule to make the playoffs next year.

Burlington, thanks for the props, I am doing this the hard way, yet I believe it will make it possible to keep these players long term without killing my salary cap.

                • There was a ton of talent still out there in the 4th round, i think we're gonna be seeing alot of late rounder from this draft blossom.

I don't know whats left since i dont have a pick till the 6th round but i was very happy to get the amount of quality i did out of the 4th round.

Nate Kaeding, the best Kicker in the Country last year (he is actually one fo the best, not just because he is from Iowa) went 65th overall, 2nd in the third round in 2k4. The Top Punter went 87th overall, 24th in the 3rd round, picked by those crazy Packers.

I don't think that Jave's picks in the 3rd and 4th are all that bad.

The difference between bad and good special teams play could be playoff vs not.

You are comparing apples and oranges. Nate Kaeding is the best kicker to come out of college since Janikowski and he's probably better. The Packers were ridiculed for drafting Sander and should be. I don't see anything wrong with selecting a kicker or punter in the mid rounds, but only if they've got excellent ratings. Jave has other holes that I would think would be more important. Anyways, this is all subjective.

                            • i would suggest we leave board draft up and running with no time limits tomorrow through live kick off. Any progress is better than zero progress.

My bet would be that we wouldn't get any farther than 2 picks. I just want a little break. We've gone through five rounds(!) without any utility. That's pretty damn impressive and probably a record. I see your point, but there is advantages to just holding things off for awhile.

One being that everyone can take a break for the first time in five days. Two, this will give guys plenty of time to either plan on making the live draft or send in a preference list should they decide to go that route. Hopefully turnout will be pretty good with the advance notice.
