Since I am getting thrashed in free agency, its a good thing I did move up in the draft. I got my boys, and this time tommorow, they will be signed and participating in mini-camps.

What did I tell you, rasher? You were undervaluing the tight ends in your mock draft. Maybe not so much undervaluing, but more of not placing them in more likely slots. You had Logan going 23rd in your first mock draft. I know you sort of explained yourself already, but 23rd was just nuts IMO.

That was an outstanding call Jeff. My hat is off to ya.

              I would have never guessed on a TE at #5. . .

He's a good player though, one of the best players in the draft. I just dont' see TEs as top ten money. That's just my personal opinion.

Very nice pick by Lansing at #6. Bratzke is the biggest combine stud besides Connell according to my numbers. Definite breakout material.

And guys can obviousy see the desire for a quality defensive tackle if they check up on a guy named Gregory Collins.

                Good choice.

Sorry, I have to jump in here. A fucking TE with the number 5 pick???? Are you on crack? TE's are a dime a dozen, why would you waste a top 5 pick on one, much less pay a TE that kind of money? /shakes head......and to leave a franchise lineman on the board....I am stunned.

Easy now, Nixon. Don't be saying shit like this.

You simply aren't one to talk.. seriously. While I don't think I would have made that pick the same way, there is nothing wrong with taking a stud TE at the number five spot. He's now got three of the most talented receing targets in the league.

When it comes to tight ends, I think it's a matter of guys not knowing how to work them into their gameplans. So they undervalue them. Look at 'Soldier' Spraggins. He's only an above average tight end, but I was able to spread the ball around enough so that he made a nice amount of catches (and they weren't all dink and dunks). If John can work a guy with excellent ratings across the board into his gameplan, then I say more power to him with this pick.

                    Crack? Bug off, Jave.

                      Jave,

First off, I tried to put up a last minute trading block to get a RB, which is our biggest need, but I didn't want to hold up the draft.

Secondly, as for the franchise lineman, he will eventually be great down the road, if he doesn't get injured longtime before he hits his full potential... and also we already have a very VERY good offensive line, already.

This TE blocks extrememely well, not just run blocking but all facets of blocking, he also is a great reciever and his agent is a 1 on Stubborn Negotiator rating, I am going to try and lock him up with the cheapest long term deal possible. He still will be expensive, but I couldn't see getting anyone else besides Cuomo this early since the other guys I liked better were already gone.

This kid will help my offense extremely well now and in the future.

Would I rather have had the guy you took #2 or that badass corner, or the offensive lineman picked fourth? Yes and although I love Sepulveda, I probably would have taken the qb you picked #1 if he was available, but none of them were available and other players may have filled a need better but would have been even a worse pick this early imo.

So, I took a very good player at a position noone likes to pick early, but seriously this guy or even the two te's slightly below him wouldnt have been there in the second round, playoff teams would have grabbed them imo.

                      John

                        thanks for the thumbs up.

i was hoping McKenzie would slip to me cause im in need of an impact player in the secondary. once he fell off the board, Bratzke was my #1. Purifoy and Mangrum on the ends with Phifer and now Bratzke in the middle, THAT is a pass rush. i figure, if we cant cover, we might as well get to the QB as much as possible.

I know that it is not on the schedule, but who would be up for a Draft Party on Sunday night?

If the majority of the owners can make it, I would be willing to accept preferences. I'm sure Cringer will to if he is available.

And in case you didn't know, I no longer have a first round pick and would be glad to accept draft preferences for the current board draft in order to keep it moving along. The board draft is still no time limit so preferences are optional.

But, Sunday everything kicks off with limits.

                              What do you think?
