It is going to be a great football day.

First, going to the Jacksonville - New Orleans game, get back in time for the Colts-Patriots. -This is all to warm up the main event of the day ... Mules-Vipers. I think this is going to be a classic.

Kobeck ... see you tomorrow night on the field.

No offense to r00k, but I would like to see the Mules get past them. With that said, I voted Norfolk because I think that is who wins.

I went with Portland over Iowa City.
My banner is bigger and prettier and cooler then yours. I choose not to show it so your feelings do not get hurt.

I think Iowa City may be on the verge of something big. I could very easily see them in the Imperial Bowl. I'm picking them over Portland this week.

Damn. Good game, rasher, and good luck the rest of the way.

Didn't really seem like that magical of a season for the Seals from day one. Caro struggled and my lack of secondary cohesion cost my defense over the course of the season. We'll be back though and we'll get this damn playoff monkey off of our backs - Seals join the Power as the most notorious playoff "0-fers" (0-4). No reason why this team shouldn't improve in 2011 though. Asta la vista, baby.

I poured over that 44-10 schlacking you gave me earlier in the season and left a sense of dread descend over me. I didn't think I could get it done at your house.

Freddie Swift for MVP! He bullied Caro the entire game. 2 sacks, 2 blocks, 3 hurries and 2 knockdowns.

Sammy is no Jay Caro, but he is one of the better QBs in the league, and he played well. Beamer came through big time. Shapiro is shaping up to be a huge steal in the second round, and my secondary is finally coming together.

At home against the Mules for the AC title. I'm even favored. I lost a guard in the game, but should still be in pretty good shape.

It was a good game Jeff, right down to the wire. I think that last kickoff was supposed to be an on-side kick that went out of bounds. Was the game decided by that hurt kicker?

Good game ... your team seems to be hitting on all cylinders now ... and this is the time for that to happen.

I cannot believe that you bocked two field goal attempts. That was huge and hurt alot, but no crying over what is what.

Congrats on a hard fought victory and the win .. and good luck going forward.

Hell of a first half for the Snipe Hunters as after an early Portland TD they really controled the ball and forced the game to be played on their terms. Impressive.
With 10:41 to play in the 3rd quarter the Snipe Hunters have run 46 plays to Portlands 21 but it's only a 3 point lead. Huge Portland fumble on Iowa Citys 4 yard line. Then a saftey. What a game this is turning out to be. Portland is owning the field position battle so far in the second half. Seals finaly take the lead on a FG early in the 4th to go up 12-10. Huge pick by the Seals but Iowa Citys defense is playing lights out and stops them. TD Snipe Hunters with 5 minutes left to go up by 5. Caro is rushed and throws a duck that gets picked off and returned to the 1. Another TD and the Seals are on the brink of elimination. A late Seals TD but they can't get the onside kick and what an upset. Ooofah.

88 yard TD drive for Norfolk really impressive, a statement of sorts. Murf bends but doesn't break, a blocked FG and a late pick keep Norfolk off the board. Field position has been excellent for the Mules as Norfolk has put together some real strong drives but they've only come up with 7 points and used up alot of clock. Mules within striking distance but they need to get in the red zone soon.
Huge punt return TD for Norfolk early in the 3rd. Peterson has been sacked 4 times already and now it's 14-3 and right where the Vipers want it.

Murf with a huge fumble recovery in their own end to help keep themselves alive. The fumble leads to Murfs forst TD and suddenly it's a game again. Murf gets a stop and marches straight down the field for another TD and just like that and rather shockingly it's a 17-14 lead for the Mules. Lozier is picked off on the ensuing drive and Norfolk seems to be unraveling. Peterson turns it right back over though, oooofah. Norfolk takes full advantage of the turnover and punches it in to go up 21-17 with 6 minutes left. Huge drive coming up for the Mules. After a good kick return the Mules go 3 and out and are forced to punt but pin Norfolk back on their own 5. Oh man. Mules force a 3 and out but then turn it over on downs, they stop the Vipers and Norfolk elects to kick a long FG that gets blocked, setting the Mules up at midfield with 1:37 left.
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! Peterson to Whitaker for 38 yards for a 24-21 lead but still 51 seconds left on the clock. 4 straight incompletions and the AC day of upsets ends with another big surprise. Oh my.

the Mules did not so much win the game as the Vipers lost it.
Murfreesboro hung around, thanks to the TOs and such, long enough to make a play late.
Lucky to get out of Norfolk with a win.

Jeepers.. I didn't listen to what people were saying about the Mules, but beating Norfolk says a lot about their form.. and Lozier throwing 3 picks!? Both wins went against my prediction, but a huge grats from Vermont to both IWC and MUR. Always great to see new faces in the conference finals .. Now, if I can just pummel Jester so that we have some fresh faces in the finals too
