    DIVISION ROUND - AMERICAN CONFERENCE

The PORTLAND Seals and NORFOLK Vipers have rested for a week. Having sent their game uniforms to the dry cleaners, and taking a few days of deserved time off, both teams now wait for the bell to ring. They are already lacing the gloves as we speak.

 Upstart MURFREESBORO (11-6) shocked the football world with their manhandling of the Anchorage Lynx. Opie Peterson and Scott Fortune now take their travelling two man show to Norfolk (15-1). Finger Lozier and company await.

 IOWA CITY (11-6) has been steadily improving their game during the last week of the regular season. It all paid off as they stood their ground versus a very good Houston Renegade team. Now the Snipe Hunters load their guns and prepare for their visit to Portland (12-4) where Jay Caro and company await.

Help TB out, give the guys your thoughts and preview the games.

I think that defense, more than offense, will set the tone in both of these games.

Both rasher and I have struggled in the playoffs. Iowa City's WC win was actually their first ever playoff victory. My all-time playoff record is 3-5 including two Divisional Round losses coming off of byes (Fire in 04 (oyyyy), Seals in 09). I think I have the edge in this game and could not vote against myself anyways.

The Mules performance yesterday really makes you re-think their chances against the Vipers. Gonna have to vote against Kobeck again though. #1 vs. #2 match-up forthcoming.

Didn't want to mention it before I ran the sim, but I have to sign a new kicker. My all-pro specialist is doubtful with severe headaches. How fun could it be if our game goes down to the wire?

Hack was 1 for 3 during the wildcard round. I am really hoping he earns his 2mil a year this offseason.

This should be a good game. #1 Passing Offense vs the #1 Passing Defense. I know we met early in the season and you whooped me, but those were the early days of 2k7 gameplanning. I think I've learned enough to give you a run for your money.

I voted for myself, because, well I'm conceited. But deep down in the cockles of my heart, I know, for a fact, that when it comes down to game time, you have the better team. . ..

I'm still going to whoop your ass. Rook/Kobeck, good luck and see you next week!

please use Savage. that way i can bet on the game and pick Seals to lose.

as-is, i selected the Vipers and Snipe Hunters to emerge. Seals are choke artists in the postseason.

WOW! I never expected HA to select me. . .Guess he hates Jeff more. Either way, glad to have you as a snipe hunter faithful if only for a few days!

If Murfreesburo can keep Norfolk on their toes then I think they can pull off the upset. Opie and Fortune make a good team so you have to dictate which one you wanna stop...

Also don't forget about Nero and Whittaker they can loom large if you forget about them.

I went with Norfolk and Iowa City. Cant vote against a 15-1 record. Iowa City impressed me last game. Could be different then the one I played.

It's hard to vote against a team that just did what Murf did in a playoff game but even harder to go against 15-1 (although Lansing scares me this week as they did last season): Norfolk sets the tone somehow as always and pulls out the "W".

Jeff does have a bad postseason history and Iowa City's playing great ball. I think they upset the Seals at home.

But as with last week no team winning will be a surprise.
