TRIVIA BYTES WEEKEND PREVIEW ... (an early edition for the 2nd straight week for the 'bestest' league)

THE TOP TEN .... Two Incredible Games

 #3 LAWRENCE visits #5 LANSING
... Clearly the feature game in the National Conference is the squaring off between two division leaders. The Lansing Orgres have seemed to put it together this year and are headed for their first divisional championship. On the other side of the ball, the Lawrence Phantoms do not need any introduction and have been in many 'a big game' before. In fact, TB believes that this experience will be the difference in this game as JesterBlaze dices and slices the valiant efforts of morellemore's game plan. The history between these two teams shows that this seems to be the case --- the Phantoms enjoy a 4-1 record vs. the Orges.

 #6 ST. LOUIS travels to #9 ANCHORAGE
... The American Conference also has a great match up between two division leaders. St. Louis will have just enough time to pick up its marbles after their upset loss to AC West California and now head straight into the strength of the storm from that division - the Anchorage Lynx. The Lynx are just straight out scarry. Their two losses have only been by one point, one of which was also to "Giant Killer - California". For this game, Anchorage seems to be a bit more healthy and this could just be the difference in the fourth quarter. The Lynx lead their series by a margin of 5-2, including a playoff win in 2008.

oke: DEFCON ALERT -- fair notice to the favorites!

#14 TEXAS vs. #2 LITTLE ROCK
(Is Texas for real? Hey, new-be, it is time to stand up and be counted!)

    #7 HOUSTON vs. #13 MURFREESBORO
(Both teams try to keep pace with St. Louis - neither team needs a division loss at this point in the season and a win could decide a tie breaker for a playoff berth.)

    #11 PORTLAND vs. #19 CALIFORNIA
(Jeff says "we are not on the bubble". If the Seals lose to the "Giant Killers", he will be right, because the bubble will have popped. Can California put together a second half season run?)

    SOME GOOD FOOTBALL

    #21 PITTSBURGH vs. #15 MADISON
(Two recognizable household names with proven legacies. A win for either team could be the catalyst for a run at a playoff spot.)

    #22 WICHITA vs. #17 HARTFORD
(Wichita still has hopes to slide into a playoff position. Hartford is simply trying to regroup and answer so many questions after a championship season.)

#30 BOSTON vs. #32 WEST VIRGINIA (Two bottom dwellers that are trying to emerge as a team of the future.)

    #24 ORLANDO vs. #4 VERMONT
(Could this be the the beginning of the end for Vermont this year?)

"Put a fork in it," the underdogs below seem to be done:

#18 LOUISIANA should have no problem with #26 ALBUQUERQUE
    # 8 CLEVELAND should take care of business vs #27 MONTREAL
#10 OAKLAND will not be surprised by #23 GEORGIA
#16 VANCOUVER gets back on track versus #29 RENO.
#28 NEWARK will continue to disappoint against #20 DAKOTA

So my season will be over at 5-4? Can't agree with that, sorry.

The Toads get a 'real' game against Texas, and thankfully at home. We are 10-5 all time against Texas, and swept them last year. We still want more blood for sweeping us two years ago though.

Lansing was tough in the playoffs last season and not much has changed since. Should be a great game!

        Go Texas!

Not only did TB say that, but I am pretty sure I heard him call your mother some names.

What makes things even more interesting in the WIC game is that we always play each other close. Should be a good game.
