I'm thinking of following up the GM guide that I did with a gameplanning guide but wanted to poll first as the intention is to offer anyone who wants it some of the insights that I've gained but can clearly see how some might be against something like that as it will close a gap that some might believe is a well deserved gap.

I can only speak for myself but my gameplanning is downright sad. The entire thing has confused me and there must be a thousand frikking boxes and I have not shut my computer down in 3 days trying to figure it out. I would use the guide for sure, but I can see how some would see it has a competitive advantage.
I voted yes obviously.

I cant gameplan passing at all. I try and throw long and I still throw a bunch of screens.
I can gameplan a running game. But passing im lost.
As for a guide. I wouldnt mind it. It would be interesting reading.IFL Champions-- 2016

I got no problem with it. One of the things that saddens me is that the FOF community has not done more as far making gameplans public and the like. I really think in the whole time MP has been going that i've seen 3 or 4 gameplans made public.I luv British womenz.

I can see breaking down the screens, explaining what player strengths are needed for what offenses, and even throwing in an example, like your game plan, to show how to plan for strengths. But you can't really tell someone how to gameplan. Your plan will not work for about 30 of the teams here. The personnel have to fit the system. I would love to see a discussion on different types of gameplans, but that may be difficult. I would have no problem explaining what I was trying to do against Jeff, since I'll never use that one again. . .but the gameplan against Norfolk, I'll just fold so you can't see my cards, I'll need that one again.
I would suggest a single player team as an example, and you can just e-mail me your gameplan if we play.
I would share my insight, however insignificant. . .but I never really held back based on a lack of usefulness.2005 AC North Division Champions

I voted no, but I can agree with Iowa that maybe some general information should be explained. One of the things that absolutely drives me crazy is how people try to make a "Formula" for every game--to boost their damage per second and whatever. Suggesting that there is only one build, or one gameplan is crazy, and really takes the fun out of it and...if I can...the human element. Seems to me that part of the fun is trying to figure out what works against what teams...etc. Otherwise, it would be very easy to just draft and trade for the highest rated people...how hard would that be? The real nuance is picking up the 44 rated guy who has a knack for hurrying the QB into bad throws on a consistent basis, and line him up next to a really big run stuffer--or, use him sparingly in dime packages...whatever...
Sure...sometimes I just hit the "Recommend button" because I don't have the time, but I can usually increase my odds of winning, when I make a few tweaks here and there.
Now...if you still come out with the gameplanning guide...It won't bother me...and I'll probably read it too. Just throwing in my opinion.MIAMI VICE - 2074

I obviously disagree here or I wouldn't offer to write up the guide.Originally posted by roadrash View PostBut you can't really tell someone how to gameplan.
I'm guessing that you're thinking that I save specific gameplans like others. Since realizing that I'd never load up an old gameplan early on in FOF 2004 I've never saved a single one. My style is to gameplan for the personnel (on both teams in the game) so I believe it will work for any team - not just the 32 here. Of course when I say "work" I mean coming as close as possible to getting maximum potential out of the personnel so it might not be a winning season for a talentless roster but it should be about as good a performance as can be hoped for.Originally posted by roadrash View PostYour plan will not work for about 30 of the teams here. I might still come across a problem or two since I don't play any SP at all and the IFL is my only league but let me assure you that the advice I'll put in this guide will help some GMs even if I keep throwing all game.Originally posted by George W Bush View Postbut.. do you know how to gameplan now, after the debacle of last week's game and the adjustments screen?

BTW - I'm undefeated. That foul odor of the Little Rock loss was your business.
