    TRIVIA BYTES WEEKEND PREVIEW

THE TOP TEN START MIXING IT UP ....

#5 Vermont at #3 Lawrence was the headlliner for this week games ... but injuries to Vermont's QB Sepulveda and 'OROY' candidate RB Andy Crawford have put a different light on this outstanding matchup. TB expects to see Duane Thompson off the bench to replace Virgil. His last significant action was in 2006 in Reno where he started eight games and won four of them. Coder signed 5 year vet RB Bob Fann this week to replace Mr. Crawford. New signings sometime seem to have a breakout game on their very first outing and Vermont will need this in order to match up with the high flying Lawrence Phantoms whose only loss this year has been to Little Rock. JesterBlaze is back in the saddle again and you can count on him to throw his usual wrinkle or two in a gameplan to keep the Mountainers at bay.

#1 Norfolk visits #7 Iowa City and this looks to be a slugfest that will take off right from the place they left it last year, in the playoffs. Norfolk won that game despite Aubrey Beamers record setting performance of 215 rushing yards. However, Viper's Finger Lozier nullified that bulldozing effort by Beamer with another one of his patented 4th quarter comebacks. Sure, the Vipers have Lozier, but this year Iowa City is also sporting a classy passing attack behind the #1 IFL rated QB, Sammy Mathews. Both teams have outstanding defenses and high scoring offenses ... but that has been against lackluster competition. Both r00k and roadrash will be anxious to see how their team really fares against top tier competition.

#4 Portland travels to #10 Houston. The Renegades are still sore in the butt from the gang rape they received last week compliments of St. Louis ... and their collective sphincters will have to tighten up again this week, as they prepare for the visiting Portland Seals. Portand is more than legit. It has grabbed Solvision's top power rating with victories over playoff contenders Iowa City, Vancouver, Louisiana & Murfreesboro. The Seals have the #1 scoring offense, #1 passing offense, #1 total offensive yards per game, and #1 yards passing per attempt. They ain't too shabby of defense either. So, should the Renegades even show their red asses? You betcha. This team just has too much talent and TB expects for Houston to be in the middle of the playoff picture at the end of the regular season. Look for a closer game than the 5 point spread that favors the Seals. Two seasoned gameplanners in Beans and Jeff should give us quite a game to watch.

    OUTSIDE THE TOP TEN ...

#11 Madison is looking for the door to open so that they can get into the top tier. The Demons have their oportunity this week versus #6 Lansing.

#12 Cleveland hopes to slide in with a win over hapless West Virgina and a some bad luck for a couple of top ten teams.

#13 Louisiana can make a major move with a upset win over St. Louis. They lost an earlier game vs the Cardinals this year.

#14 Vancouver can continue its march up the hill with a win over Salt Lake City.

    FEATURE GAME OF THE WEEK
There are two perennial powerhouses that are down on their luck this year. They will do battle against each other and the game will not disappoint its viewers. Don't miss out and watch Pittsburgh (1-4) at Newark (1-5).

it's been a rough year to say the least. I have no idea why we lose all the time, but getting our first win against a good Madison team will hopefully propel us back to winning. Obviously, I pretty much need to win out to make the playoffs. I know I sound silly even thinking playoffs, but until I'm statistically eliminated I won't give up.

Can't stop til we're on top.

There have been many instances of winning streaks in the IFL so far. Why not you this year? :shoot:

Time to pass that 1st place spot in the division back.

Here's to hoping the streak gets to 22. Interestingly enough the last team to beat the Phantoms at home was the Mountaineers in 2007.

Oh but a few scant hours from now, the Cardinals shall truimph and how. The VooDoo will kick, and yes they will scream, but the Cardinals shall turn to nightmares, their black magic dreams.
