YES! I got another guy who can take the splinters on the bench for the team.

Also, interesting that McNamee resigned with me. He was disgruntled last year for some reason...

Cleveland sucks. You can call scoreboard all you want. Seems like we shut your ass down too. You wont repeat as division champ. Looks like you might finish 3rd at best. The Outlaws are circling those dates with Cleveland......

10 mil. 1 guy. Better hope he is just that damn good.

I'm curious to know how much of a bonus you offered him. Anywhere near 1 million? There were other factors at play as well, ie loyalty, play for winner, closer to Columbia.

Anyone care to check if one single FA signed with another team when their previous team made an offer (independent of how much more you had to offer)? Not for me... :?

Latest example: RB John Feliciano. There were two offers about $2.6M. He signed for $1.3M with no bonus (average loyalty).

I don't think I'll bother giving offers anymore, when the ex-team does...

I know that free agency isn't perfect in this game, but it is possible to pry players from their current teams even when that team is trying to retain them. On example I know of off the top of my head is Wilber Pedigo.

If you want a guy bad enough, then you've got to separate your bid from the others however many. I almost put in a bid for Feliciano because it appeared that guys weren't all that serious about signing him.

Translated......offer crazy amounts of cash for little to no commitment on the part of the player. The entire FA is just based on the greed of the player. I find it much simplier to show patience, draft quality players, and re-sign then a year before their contract runs out. IF a team works free agency heavy for multiple years, I can guarantee that your team will end up broke, without a ring.

There is a balance between FA and the Draft. It's not one or the other. Someone who depends on FA is going to have CAP trouble, and have a hard time winning, I agree with this. But a team that only drafts talent and limits signings to current personnel is doomed to have constant trouble. Between busts, and slow development you could have serious holes in a portion of your gamplan for years. ON the other hand, if you sing a big money FA to fill that hole immediatly, you can continute to compete.
