The Draft Utility: Things to keep in mind

Seems like we always run into a problem down the road where the util stalls and players aren't being properly crossed off of preference lists. These 3 things should prevent that.

- Do not refresh your draft util page.
- Do not just leave the draft util open in some window for hours at a time
- Do not close your draft util page after making a pick until it is done doing it's bidness

What happens when you simply close your browser and re-open? If it's your list saying it's "on" but really not what about shutting it "off" (even though it appears to be) and then back "on" again?

I have no idea what you just said. But I have tried numerous times to re-open. I can change my draft list, and the usage is set to "on"...yet when I go to the draft page the green light is off and it won't auto-pick.

try turning it off, then close the page. then go back and it turn it on. might work.

So open up the draft utility and set your list to "off". Close window.
Re-open and turn "on". Maybe problem solved... maybe not.


EDIT: Grasshopper couldn't snatch the pebble from SUIs hand...

Or emptying out your list, logging out, then logging back in and repopulating it?

I fixed Dakota's problem (list on, but no green light)....the symptom is that when you look at his list, the first guy is listed as second in line (2 - Player Name). The fix is to manually move the guys with the Up button and then they'll line up correctly. I've re-written that section of code to (I thought) do away with the past errors that came from leaving the screen open, but maybe this is one I missed.

When we started out, the clock was adding an extra five hours. There was a line that added five hours to the cur_time that I commented out, not sure why it was there, and things have been ok since.

The fifth round was also set for the wrong amount of time, but I think I fixed that.

Other than that, things have been smoooooth sailing.
