i'm different. i don't trade 1st round picks unless i already have a pick in that round. 1st round picks are immediate starters - they get paid too much to be otherwise. 2nd and below you can afford to wait and let them be bench players. if you're a bad team you need impact players. not a bunch of "ok" players. you can get ok players off the FA pool during the 2nd free agency. you start by adding great players and go from there.

Once your team is basically complete it's not always possible to get a starter in the 1st round considering you've got a 20+ pick. Usually you're stuck with reaching (which I despise) or picking a future-star, who unfortunately will be riding the bench for a high cap price.

just one more reason a bottom 10 team doesnt need multiple picks late in the 1st....who needs expensive mediocre talent when you could have a true stud....

          I HATE LOSING!!!!

And any insinuation that I'm losing on purpose is bullshit. I've tried to be consistent at times, change things up, move people around and nothing has worked. Not to mention that my defense has been obliterated by injuries all season long.

Combine all that with the fact that my running attack is porous and Fogarty has had no magic. Hell, I might have to strip him of the nickname because it has brought nothing but poor play.

This is funny.. john has posted on FOFC and the Wolverine forum in the last few days. You're getting around, don't you..

Like I said over at Wolverine... you can't be in a FOF league without owning the game.. FOF is your work-tool.. can't do squat without it. I never realized you could be in a DDS:PB league without owning the game.. imagine the workload for the commish, entering all settings a GM wants based on an email..

I'm not saying there's only mediocre talent available - just that good teams don't have many needs to there may be 5 great players on the board but if those 5 play positions that you don't need then you're screwed wheras the lesser team has a higher chance that at least 1 of the 5 will match up with a current team need.

You need roughly 30 players to field a complete starting unit (3WR, 4WR, 5WR, nickel, dime, kicker, punter, etc...) so if I don't have close to that then I want multiple good starters/great players instead of one true stud player. Just my opinion of course and the many ways to build a team is what makes this game interesting.
