Giant win for me today as all my players were allowed to stay in bed and not injure themselves. A winner is me.

It seems FOF picked this week for this. There were quite a bit of unnecessary roughness/unsportsmanlike penalties in the games that I watched including the following, which I believe is an error:

      Code:
3-05-TUL08 (02:12) LAW 1 Stanfield pass fell incomplete, intended for 81 Sherlock.
TUL 78 Lofton hurried the quarterback into a bad throw.
         Penalty: TUL - Unsportsmanlike Conduct.

4-01-TUL04 (02:06) LAW 16 Stickney attempted a 21 yard field goal and succeeded.
Offical time out for the two-minute warning.

Isn't unsportsmanlike conduct an auto 1st down?

Stanfield plays injured to lead us to a big win against a big team!! 6-2 and looking good in every area of the game lately.

Groth in the game would've made a huge difference of course.

Strange decision making on the following two penalties:

        Code:
LAW 16 Stickney kicked off 51 yards from the LAW30.
TUL 80 McCoy returned the ball 31 yards to the LAW50. Tackled by LAW 59 McCreary.
Penalty: LAW - Offsides on the Kickoff.

        and

1-10-TUL08 (14:20) TUL 2 Thornburg ran around right end for 4 yards.
Tackled by LAW 59 McCreary, assisted by LAW 36 Tobias.
Penalty: TUL - Offensive Holding. Penalty was declined.

Newark's loss gives the NFC East a very strange feel with a team having "breathing room" for the 1st time ever I think.

        Houston really needs Booker back.

Week 8 and I have yet to have a QB with enough credentials to make the "individual passing leaders" stat page.

          Ouch!! Sorry about Napolitano, Tarcone.

And my LG decides to get an appendectomy this week?!? What is an appendectomy? Can you put it off until the offseason?

First off, Houston's defense played well in the red zone this week. We moved the ball, got down there and then just stalled. This game could have been a blow out had we completed drives.

Second, injuries are going to take a toll on this team. Hickman has a sprained knee and will be a question mark heading into our game with Murphreesboro. Thankfully, we don't play next week because Martin is also questionable, but he should be back in time to take on the Mules. That said, we have a week to heal up, and I cannot complain about our performance on either side of the ball today. Even without Booker, Houston is a top notch team, I'm just happy to get the win.

Plus, whenever it is a close game at the end, I always hold my breath with any drive to run out the clock.

              Two notes about the game:

              1) I think this is the first time Hartford has ever had over 400 yards 3 weeks in a row.

              2) Jim Hickman set a new Grizzly record with 275 yards passing.

A few notes regarding this season:

              1) Hickman is on pace to shatter the Grizzly record for QB rating, passing yards, TD passes, as well as breaking the mark for most completions in a year.

              2) Wayne Ostrowski should set Grizzly marks for most receiving TDs and yards this season.

Mules were out Mules by the hated VooDoo this sunday. 6 dropped passes by the recievers led to an overall bad day by Peterson, well the drops and the hated VooDoo pressure.

The pieced together Mule D was not up to the task today as the hated VooDoo had many sustained drives.

I am sure this is a game the Mules fans will be wanting back come week 17

Ughh, my defense was brutal on 3rd downs. We actually did have a chance late in the game, but of course we couldn't stop them as they only punted twice in the game, both in the first qtr. The game wasn't nearly as close as the score shows. We were beaten up all game, but scored on a few key drives mostly due to Timmerman (who is leading all non kickers in points scored so far this season).

Hartford has a real solid team, it was very tough to find any weak spots to try and exploit.

Oh well, at least Murf lost. Now I have the tough decision on whether or not to start playing some guys like Booker. Going to be a long week trying to figure out what to do. I am just glad i'm 7-1 despite Booker missing 4 1/2 games. That's the biggest shocker of all.

my QB got hurt handing off this week. I wish Jim had a smarter method. If the guy randomly comes up for an injury wait until the next pass play to hurt him. Its like the one a few years back where my goes down for a bunch of weeks on a false start penalty. i didnt watch all the game but was surprised my loser 2nd QB was able to win against CLE...i guess FOF decided it owed me one this week.
