It may be a hollow victory because we didn't face the top Oakland team, but a win is a win and we're off to our best start in franchise history (believe it or not).

My offense actually looked pretty bad yet the team still put up 30 points (Timmerman picked up like half his daily yards during our clock killing phase), so i'm happy.

Now we finish up our road trip in Albuquerque then head home for what may turn out to be one of the most important games of the season against Murf.

Btw, I hate the Cards. You were supposed to lose that game.

Good road win against Wichita this week. This was a must game to have as Pitt and Lansing are off to 2-0 starts.

The Demon offense just isn't clicking at all. Charles Bell is off to a solid start but that seems to be about all we have going right now.

Injuries are starting to take a toll. DE Eric Osborne is out with a bad back, were gonna miss him. We could be without 3 key starters next week in Osborne, Benson and Ferguson.

The NC North is gonna be a dogfight. Seems Lansing is finally playing to their potential.

Even on this snowy night, everything is a little brighter on a Sunday with a win.

We weathered quite a storm in the first five minutes of the game:

          - 95 yard TD return against us
          - 60 penalty yards
          - One of our best defensive players, [ifl]Charles Patch[/ifl], ejected for kicking someone
          - 53 yard FG made against us
          - 1 interception and one dropped pass

The turning point was a blocked FG while already down 10-0. We outgained them 386-216 and TOP was 36-24, so our O and D really outplayed IWC. The front seven especially stuffed Beamer. He ended up with 84 yards, but 61 were on one carry (a very big carry though), so on the other 20 carries he had 23 yards, including about a dozen negative yardage plays.

Phantoms come to town this week without Stanfield, defense is eager to feed on Ike!

            BREAKING STORY ...

Warhammer, GM of the Hartford Grizzlies, has suggested that the team's owner offer a rule change for the upcoming season, at the owner's annual meeting to be scheduled later this year.

His suggests that the IFL move to a 3 quarter game. He was heard to say, "It works well in hockey, why not try it! I would be eternally grateful to each of the owners that would support this rule change ."

i look at your locker room chemistry chart thing and i shit on it. there could be gays in the locker rooms of everyone's team, just waiting to drop their bomb on the team and wreck havoc on the other players.

there are no gays on the Heroes. we make all our players lick pussy before offering a contract. ain't no test like a pussy licking test to weed out anyone who might be queer.

                i love that word. "queer".

I must warn you that Ike can now throw the 11 yard out AND the 11 yard in pattern!

I did not think I would get out of todays game with a victory but once we stopped the turnovers in the 2nd half we got control. A sigh of relief as I prepare for next week. Good game Richard.

Yea, we seem to be fairly opportunistic with turnovers, but we can't translate that into very many points. Plus we turn the ball over, as well. It was a good game, though.

it seemed to be a tough game. your offensive problems may have been a pretty good defense this week. I had some key penalties and couldnt sustain a drive well enough to get some points. Going through the game it seemed like we shouldve won but it just didnt work out. Those are always tough.

Good game Matt! Didn't think we could hold Crespo in check but we managed to. Running and passing game are looking decent so far will probably fade toward the end of the season. 8)

Lost Kingston for the year and possibly his career too bad since he was playing good. :x

A little late in the week, but I am home about 5 days late so forgive me.

Good game. I totally changed my offensive gameplan, trying to get it close to one I have been using in FOF2007 solo play. Seems like it translated some, but not perfect.

Nice to lose my other starting guard, this time for the whole season instead of just half. :? Week three should be interesting, since the computer will have control over my depth chart from the looks of it.

Yea, you got me before I could change my depth chart. All good. Not worried this early in the season. Bad news for Columbia. I am back full time now.
