Is the overall talent of the league decreasing because of poor drafts? We asked a top scout in the IFL to rank the top 20 players in each position by future potential (not including kickers and punters). We found that only 25% of the players were in their fifth year or lower (ie, from TCY drafts), including none of the safeties (most likely because the best safeties drafted have been moved to CB, see Ames, Willie).

Is this abnormal? Is the total talent level decreasing in the IFL? Find out later tonight...

I totally agree that the talent level is falling. When is the the last time you saw a potential rating in the draft at 90 or better. Rodriguez appears to be a fluke last year. I think that has been the appeal for some teams to hang on to their 10-15 year veterans, rather than trading them away.
