Tim Austin had a tremendous year. He just didn't catch any passes, and that's a big no-no in FOF if you want to win awards
What else can you tell me about this game, sunshine?
    It's a secret.

        Why? I can understand Alsup
You can't be serious, can you? You would compare Alsup, who leads the league in passes caught against, with Ames (24 pdef: 31 cght) or Kenneth Jones or Oliver McKenzie or Garfield Rhodes or D-Dog or ... ?

It's just not even close. There is way too much emphasis on tackles.
I'll agree that Seifert shouldn't have gotten it, but Alsup is justified in my mind. It depends on what you are looking for, I was passed on a TON by teams and he did have two more INTs than some of the guys you mentioned and many QBs pass away from those guys because there is not someone of equal caliber on the other side. Both of these guys were over 20% in PD, and Alsup had over 70 tackles which is part of the reason I signed him. They were also among the leaders in the number of passes defensed.

I'm not saying the other guys were undeserving, Ames should have gotten one of the spots, but it's not like these guys were at the bottom of the list.
