The abysmal start was probably more my fault than anything. I sat Caro and other starters for most of if not the entire preseason. Not a smart move on my part considering how poorly the offense executed in the first few weeks.

As for next season, there's a lot of work to be done to catch up to Anchorage.

There is no rust in FOF 2004.

Are you certain? I've seen FOFC threads that argue the advantages and disadvantages of sitting your starters in the preseason. One of the disadvantages of sitting starters was that teams normally struggled earlier in the season. I've never done any experiment to prove it, but that's what I've heard from FOFC posters. I do know that my teams in other leagues where preseason injuries are turned off tend to come out of the gates a bit hotter.

Jim has said outright that there is no rust in 2004. Before he even did that, he was sitting his own starters in his MP league.

Jim rarely answers questions like that with a straight answer. So if you were able to get a legit answer then kudos. Sadly there is no true user manual for FOF and most people are left theorizing what might and might not be. I really wish Jim would learn a few things from the FM guys.

As for his IHOF squad, that's actually where the debate started. Jim's teams tended to start off slow according to the posters and people wondered whether or not it was due to his starters sitting out.

So this is the playoffs? I've never been here before. Where do we suit up?

I sat all my starters in pre-season and didn't have an issue. Timmerman had like 150 yards in the opening game.

Now that you are bowl eligible you have to wait until you get your bowl bid. I'm thinking the Fiesta Bowl against the Cards.

Suicane is already committed to the San Francisco Bowl.

How did he look in the next two games? Sorry, but I thought it was funny you picked the one game he played well out of the first three.

Since there isn't a manual of any sort that answers these items we're left guessing what impacts what in this sim. How important is cohesion? How important is preseason? How important is the stadium turf? How important is the parking lot?

All I know is that I'm going to play my starters in next year's preseason. Of course with my luck I'll have 8 guys out with injury by week 1 of the regular season.
