Actually, it was 17-14 DAK at that point.
Way to ruin a really good story. :P Don't you believe in poetic license?

Hey Matt, your fans must behave like Eagles fans.

2-13-MAD38 (12:55) MAD 11 Irby pass completed to 25 Bell for 3 yards.
      Tackled by NWK 56 Marshall.
The receiver risked taking quite a hit in order to convert the play.
The quarterback threw away from the double coverage.
Penalty: MAD - Unsportsmanlike Conduct. MAD 44 Perry was ejected on the play for making rude gestures at the fans.

sucks, i had the game won, last drive of the game and i get a 54 yard kickoff return to the Murfreesboro 41. 25-24 was the score, woulda won it by kicking the FG. fucking kickoff return was called back due to a penalty.

still, the team kinda did what i wanted it to. we were running all over Murfreesboro the entire game. the entire IFL must be double and triple teaming my WR Caffrey. only got one pass thrown his way for the game. the league's doing a number on him, next week is when we start getting back to normal for our passing game since guys are coming back from injury.

Carmack had a great day! but to no avail.

We have got to play better pass defense inside 2 minutes.

248 yards after the catch against Wichita. That seems a bit high ...
To put that number into perspective, you had 857 YAC against you in your previous 11 games.

Good game Suicane! Hildebrand played the game of his life, 4 tds and 1 int. I knew we had to play the possession game to outlast St. Louis. Hildebrand was effective passing to Emerson, Rueter, and Brown on short routes and we ran just enough to keep the defense honest. St. Louis almost had a hell of a comeback. 4 straight 30+ passes to end the game. Defensive secondary is getting torched without 2 good cornerbacks in there...

Came down to field goal kicking ... your two misses seemed to be the nails in the coffin.

California had been doing that crap all day long. I am suprised it took the refs so long too finally call them for it. - lol Vera must have finally gotten his point across to the dense IFL officials.

Yes California did pummel the Mules in the run game, but passed for under 100 on the game. Mule D toughened in the 4th giving Opie and Mr. Fortune enough time to get Wolters in position for the game winning 57 yard FG, his second 50+ yarder in the final 3 minutes.

California played an exceptionally clean game with no turnovers and only 4 penalties. The one Sack allowed was a drive killer though. Also California was exceptionally effecient on 3rd down. But don't forget the the Mules almost matched the Heroes in rushing yards and Mr. Fortune was PoG with over 200 yards from scrimmage.

California gave the Mules more than was expected and the Mules were fortunate to get out of Fresno with a win.

I don't mind injuries, really. Kind of expect them.
It was just kind of dumb that my coach had his best player blocking on kick returns. That was my point there. Just silly. But hey...

That's one thing that will kick ass about the new version. Separate tracking of special teams tackles and the ability to persuade who plays special teams. Good stuff to me.

I'm likin' it. Separate depth charts for basic, nickle, dime and goal line defenses are nice, too. I'd like one for Special teams, but it might be a little esoteric for a lot of people - and even I'd have to do some studying and I played a LOT of special teams back in high school. But at least being able to yank guys from special teams play is nice. You know Connell'd have a big 'not recommended' if this was 2k7. Ah... well... no huge deal. We'll survive.

The best part is not having to screw with a silly ass city file. That was a really weird programming decision.

Unfortunately, though, the nicknames don't carry over with the city name files.... I don't pay much attention to the nicknames in game anyway.. but still... you'd think the game files (four or five of them now) would have room for a unique city/nickname set up.

One can only hope for better in FOF 2010...

Of course, Jeff probably already has this figured out and will post soon telling me that I'm doing something wrong.
