The only way Charles Bell doesn't get it is if he gets injured. If he gets injured, I'm sure there are still better candidates. I'll look for some now.

T.J. Fenker started this week. Maybe a sign of things to come in Montreal. If he started the rest of the year he could be a candidate. Lionel Childers might be a new starter with Jarvis going down. Wichita's 1st round pick, Clemmons, has been targeted more than Williams. Ronnie Wilkins of Vermont has been targeted more. Patrick Harding of Vancouver has been targeted more. Rambo, Lincoln, and Rico Bailey all have both have more rushing yards than Williams does receiving yards. Maybe one of the kickers could win the award, hell maybe even an o-lineman (a center in particular). How about Norfolk's Myron Covington? St. Louis' Erik Farrell has the bulk of his team's carries.

The season is young so without going negative towards some names that you've mentioned that I recognize I'll say that Rico Bailey (coincidentally on your team or not???) is the only player that I think has a real shot over C. Bell. or Jamie.

Not as long as Lomeli stands out as the better current option.

Mules QB situation is ugly for sure.

Just trying to remain competitive till Opie gets back. Looking grim at this time.

Madison won 31-10, but this is one time I will say the game was a little closer than the score indicates. Madison was scored 3 TDs inside the redzone and the Mules only got 10 point in their 3 trips inside the 20. Mules only TO resulted in a penalty riddled possession of -7 yards taking Murfreesboro out of FG range. But the real difference was the Net of 50 yards per punt as the Demons continued to flip the field on the Mules all day long.

Good game Jeff. I had put my gameplan to orient CB by WR covered. I assumed that would mean Ames would be on your #1 WR. Then I put 100% double team on your #2 receiver. Not sure if what I "thought" I was doing is what FOF did.

My defense didn't show up until the 2nd half and we still have yet to get a running game going this season. Granted I did try to come out and throw the ball a little today.

it was a sloppy game on that front. had a little trouble on our side of the ball as well. i recall a holding on a kick return for you that really hurt you too. good game either way. may crespo feel sufficiently taunted and pissed off. here's hoping he runs wild for a few weeks now.

We only have two sacks this year, but talk about key moments:

4-01-HOU37 (07:01) HOU 19 Booker sacked by PIT 78 Woods for a loss of 6 yards.
Sack allowed by HOU 68 Grant.
The ball goes over on downs.

                              Possession to Pittsburgh.

1-10-HOU31 (06:15) PIT 32 Richardson ran around right end for 7 yards.
Tackled by HOU 99 Bramlett, assisted by HOU 55 Young.
Key block delivered by PIT 62 Walz.

2-03-HOU24 (05:56) PIT 2 Mueller pass completed to 80 Edelstein for 16 yards.
                              Tackled by HOU 43 Bolinger.
                              --
1-08-HOU08 (05:08) PIT 2 Mueller pass completed to 80 Edelstein for 8 yards and a touchdown!
Extra point by PIT 4 Spotwood was good.

                              Score: Pittsburgh 17, Houston 7.
3-03-PIT29 (04:25) HOU 19 Booker sacked by PIT 94 Cajigal for a loss of 5 yards.
Sack allowed by HOU 72 Legg.

4-08-PIT34 (04:08) HOU 1 Whiting attempted a 51 yard field goal and missed short of the crossbar.

Houston's defense really played well in the first half, but Rodrigez took a screen pass 70 yards to keep us in the game. I think that was about half of our offense in the first half. We had the big plays today, and Houston didn't, and that's the only reason we won.

Graybill debuted with 10 tackles, 6 assists, and a hurry.

Pittsburgh 2-0 for the first time in team history. We are usually slow starters, going 2-8 in the first two weeks of a season in the five prior years.
