Here is the problem with that: now nobody can sign anyone that was cut today (what was supposed to be cut day), because if they sign someone they will be back over the 60 person limit. To make any offers, they would have to cut people beforehand. And then people can't sign anyone until the NEXT midweek or risk having the computer F with their rosters.

It's supposed to be cuts today, sign tomorrow, then cut again for the games during week 2. So I suggest either you forcibly cut people down to 60 today (not reccommended) or just make it so that people have to be down to 60 by their games.

You don't even know what you're talking about. Only 4 teams had to make cuts today.

Previous years, weeks 1 and 2 were run on the same export. So that is probably where the confusion is coming in. All I know is that it says in the off-season schedule, which has been up for months, and is bolded, that rosters need to be down to 60 today.

It's like no one in this league has any sort of memory. I'll just have to wait for someone like Coder to jump in and say, "Yeah, Jeff is right. That's why I didn't decide to cut any guys today."

You had to pick Coder because he is the only other one besides you NOT to be under 60 today

                    What about California?

Or how about Boston or Hartford last year?

Suicane, I think you are doing a great job. I don't need the trade processed until the midweek anyway. And I apologize for Jeff.

This league would fall apart if Cringer left and named you commissioner.

I don't think HA would be able to tell you what we did before. I've always cut people when it says on the schedule to cut people. If you aren't supposed to cut people then, it shouldn't say it. Are you planning on being down to 53 on the 12th or the 13th?

Our sixth season is about to start and Jeff is just now taking a chance to exploit a hole in the league rules. I love you Jeff. I can't wait for the 2010 season to see what league rule (or lack there of) you have been saving to point out.

Anyways, I am sorry for the problems today with this rule, and with the fgr file. I blanked out on the first games being today (new job shit had me distracted most of the week) and when I got home I passed out and just woke up.

I believe Biggs may be right, the reason the 60 man cut down date hasn't been a problem in the past is because we were running weeks 1 and 2 at the same time.

I won't do any forced cuts today or tomorrow. Next year everyone will need to be down to 60 with the week 1 preseason games.

And HA, we have no rule on sitting starters in preseason, go for it. Not sure if IHOF did or not and that is were your comment came from, but it's all spiffy here.

So your official stance is that it is a league rule? Okay, but why then wasn't anyone punished last year then?

                              I love you too.

Last year we ran weeks 1 and 2 together, so teams would have had players cut by the AI when they had their first game.

Here is he new rule, just edited...

                                B. Teams are allowed a maximum of 70 players on their rosters during the offseason. This must be cut down to 60 players by the first week of the preseason, at which time the 'in-game' roster limits of 60 players in the preseason and 53 players in the regular season, take over. Any team over 60 when exports are put in for the week one preseason games will have plays cut for them by the person running the stage.
