At least you didn't lose to them.
I came into the season thinking I could win 8 games and anything else would have been a bonus. We commit too many penalties and seemingly wipe out big gains all the time. We had Sante just throw games away early in the season. Now we play Norfolk and Cleveland pretty tight only to end up with a tie against WVA which has the least amount of talent in the league.

To sum up my season so far in one word: frustrating.

Looks like a shakeup in my gameplanning is coming up. I can't rely on Timmerman every week.

Timmerman seems to punish the Mules early then becomes almost invisible. Been the pattern for a couple of years now. I did not chart it but Timmerman had 133 yards running and recieving for the game and I bet 100 of them were before the half. Odd.

Mules were oppertunistic again with a blocked FG that turned out to be big, as they usually are.

I will admit I am printing out this weeks standings and putting them in the front of my "Mules" notebook. First place after 9 games, granted it is with a sub .500 record, but it is still 1st place. Got a brutal 4 game road trip starting next week in St. Louis.
Yea, I noticed that too I don't know where he went. It was tough to see my offense stall like that, but it was a good win for the Mules which completely opens up the division again.

VOODOO WIN! VOODOO WIN! VOODOO WIN! Man that feels good. Sorry Hawkster. This reminds me of our battles in the USFL between Minnesota and Illinois. :dancing:

I'd rather be in first place with a sub-.500 record rather than on the outside looking in on the WC race with a 6-3 record.

Brutal loss. Tried to run to set up the pass, but that didn't work much. Defense played well but they cant hold out for 60 minutes while the offense curls their hair and puts on their makeup. Only brightside is that im still only a game out.

Mann outduels Irby for the win. Power defense had 5 sacks, 11 hurries, and 8 defensed passes. Mann was so full of confidence that just to screw with Madison he threw a pass to a DT and himself, on consecutive throws:

1-10-PIT33 (14:11) PIT 16 Mann pass completed to 96 Quarles for 7 yards.
              Tackled by MAD 50 March.
              ...
              --
1-10-PIT49 (12:18) PIT 16 Mann pass completed to 16 Mann for 7 yards.
              Tackled by MAD 56 Nelson.
Watch out BOSS, I'm right behind you

Great comeback, morellomre! I thought I had the game when I was up 24-9 but you owned the 2nd half.

Defense without Peacock isn't fun to watch.

The times, they are a-changin'. NC North won the series over the NC East 9-6-1 this season.

2 sacks, 4 hurries, and a blocked pass don't get you POTW because a DT had 11 tackles when the other team ran the ball 50 times? Weak. :shoot:

Yea, what I meant was that no team is just stepping it up and separating themselves from anyone. Everytime I think Lawrence is going to take it, they drop a game. Everytime I think that either of us are starting to fade, we come up with some wins. In your case BIG wins. You've really surprised me this year. You've got your team playing so well, especially with the problems that you're having getting consistent play from your RB's. I think you'll find that someone will pull it out. Your season reminds me of your playoff runs from years past. I'm afraid as to what's going to happen when you get on another roll. Vermont is another team that is just waiting to explode. I just hope we can take it to them next week. Try and contain Virg,

We did have a rough go round against the North, but we'll be back.

Ya we are having a really odd but pleasantly odd year. I still feel like we are heading down while the division is going up and stocking up with young talent. Only time will tell. This division will probably be settled in week 17.
