You took out my RB on the opening kickoff and then a rookie puts up 215 on you. I figured I'd take advantage of my O-line and their 19 KRBs. They're like bulldozers out there, it's sick. Losing Wheat for the rest of the season blows goats though, but don't count me out yet. The rest of my team is still pretty scary, and as long as Humphrey avoids turnovers, I'll be fine.

Sigh.........I been telling you guys for years that Lomeli is the real deal. Jeff can gameplan a hella better then I ever could and mabe some of you who put in these votes at the end of the year will pull your head out of your ass and look at the bottom line.
A reminder. 2005:
But, because his red bars do not reach far enough for some, he was once again ignored.Assassins decided to return to dependable RB Gaston Lomeli, who came through in a huge way with 1596 yards rushing, including 238 recieving, for a total of 1834 yards of offense. Add to that the 20 total touchdowns, you can see, the decision to return to the basics, really payed off for Oakland.
BTW.......nice win Jeff. I should have hacked your gameplan before I retired. I would have won more games.

Go away whore, you are supposed to be too busy to be here this much. :P
And stop taking it so personal. It was not because his ratings are not across the board high, it was because there were guys more impressive. That is it. He had a great season man, and he did get votes for awards so don't act like no one gave him respect.
Now, onto the subject of his ratings, I actually gave them a hard look earlier. What would this guy be classified as? A Barry Sanders type back? He has no power or 3rd down ability, but that elusiveness is maxed out, with very good speed. The only guy I can think of would be Barry. Puts on some moves and makes guys look like idiots as they miss him by a mile.My banner is bigger and prettier and cooler then yours. I choose not to show it so your feelings do not get hurt.

Ouch, David Day has a great game picking up his second Player of the Game tag. 6 tackles, 1 sack, 1 int. Then I lose him for 5 weeks with a Strained Patellar Tendon.
Get this, the Iowa City Defense has let up a league leading 9.8 points per game. Now every time "Iowa City Defense" and "Leading" have been in a sentance in the past, it was usually bad. 17 takeaways after 6 games, shit who needs an offense?
Now for the test, Norfolk. I know, I lost to SLC a few weeks back, but now that I have tweaked my D gameplan, I think that I can beat Norfolk. I think this will be the first true test of Sammy Matthews. He will have to move the ball against Norfolk to win. He can't count on the D doing it for him like they did for the last four weeks.
This sounds wierd, me talking up my D. Hasn't my D sucked since the league began? 2005 I had a great D, but it was overshadows by that thing from Norfolk. Just looking at it, I think I have lost to Norfolk for the last 3 years straight. That kinda pisses me off.

After Thornberry spend the entire game looking up at that ass from the comfort of his kneepads, I'm sure he could describe it in great detail for Mr. Hernandez. He'll be seeing it in his sleep for a while. Scrumptious.Originally posted by CringerAs far as LT Burgess goes, Shawn Hernandez would have had his ass for lunch.
Seriously, though. Fun game to watch, though, even though it was a little heartbreaker. Another close win for the Toads. Good game.

But on another note, Coach Mooberry has already started on this week's gameplan and has been watching film in order to prevent the Vipers from becoming :suicanesmunchies: .
This game has all the makings to be a great one. ESPN's TV spots have been adverstising the Vipers 100% rating in passing cohesion vs. the Snipes 100% rating in secondary cohesion. But the seasoned observer knows that both teams have other talents to draw from which will make the game a very interesting watch.
Looking forward to keeping the unblemished record vs. the Snipes alive.

Second game in a row where we manage to come back in the second half.. but ouch.. 4 sacks allowed
.. Traynor's injury is hurting us big time, good things Daniels should be back soon.
Virgil didn't seem to struggle despite missing Brown.. he went to Sammy 10 times instead. That's the width of the Vermont arsenal.. Virge might not be a 5WR-qb, but who cares when you have backs able to catch balls as well?
No, the problem is the O-line... at least I didn't get any further injuries.

Did I actually call him Opie somewhere that I just don't see, or is this a reference to the 'real life' guy?Originally posted by JeffIt's Otis Peterson, not Opie Peterson.Originally posted by CringerFront page of site updated in full, even the Game of the Week on the side.

Just to help you out, you can go ahead and write up the Snipe Hunter's for next weeks front page. After we beat the unbeaten Vipers, we should be rolling all the way to the playoffs.Originally posted by CringerFront page of site updated in full, even the Game of the Week on the side.2005 AC North Division Champions
