We move to 3-0, im really surprised were playing this well. I did not expect to win this game against Texas as they have been playing extremely well, especially Chung.

The Demons secondary might have been torched for a lot of yards but they came up big and got 3 INT's on Chung which was the difference in the game. We were able to get presssure on Chung which made things difficult for him.

K Paul Pickett looks back to form, he kicked 5 FG's. Two them from 50 on out.

    Good game Texas.

      Random Musings
      1. In the AFC Norfolk and Anchorage are not unexpectedly undefeated. However Reno and Madison are a bit of a shocker at 3-0 in the NFC.

      2. Wichitas Clayton Chung has thrown for over 300 yards all 3 games so far this year.

      3. Larry Deason is making the most of his starting job so far this year, he leads the league in rushing after 3 weeks.

      4. Despite being 1-2 and not having a solid QB, Olin Holst's 18 catches lead the league.

      5. Columbia is holding teams to a miniscule 2.95ypc, but there still 1-2. St. Louis is 2nd in this category but they also are 1-2. Next is Madison, and to rub it in they are 3-0.

      6. Vanocuver is getting swarmed, giving up a league leading 12 sacks so far.

      7. Top draft pick Scott Fortune has been underused and underwhelming, 26 carries for 89 yards while Nick Kersey has 231 yards on 47 carries for the Beasts......just an observation.

5th pick Duane Edwards has 2 picks in his first 3 games as a pro for Orlando.

Portlands 1st and 2nd round WR's Balke Ameche and Dominc Field are giving pretty good dividends with 12 catches apiece thru the first 3 weeks.

      8. The West Coast may be a little depressed, Vancouver, Fresno and Portland are all 0-3.
      I luv British womenz.

When the league started, your predecsor, in a discussion about what our stadiums looked like, said that one end of his stadium was open with a giant Dragon behind the endzone that would breathe fire everytime Boston scored a TD, i so wanna recreate that in a picture, lol.

Our quarterbacks are going to be like Spinal Tap drummers until Pierce and D'Arcy learn to pass block. Or.... we just run the ball all the time.

I really don't think it can get much worse (famous last words) so I'm optimistic.

It probably doesn't help that their mentor Doucet has a big whopping goose egg for a pass block scout rating. No siree....

I had 6 people get hurt in the game to Oakland's zero, and was still able to pull it out. At one point in the game, my best receiver went out, then his replacement got hurt, so Mann decided to throw it to the TE every play:
                Possession to Pittsburgh.

                Score: Pittsburgh 7, Oakland 6.
So we've played three teams this year that are a combined 6-0 when not playing us, and have Vermont coming up. Tough way to start the season.

Thanks Argot... The D really stepped up for us. Was very happy with there performance. Still concerned about the offense though...

But we will take the W...

1-2, only good thing is I was the only one in the Division to win. So it brings me closer to Texas . Long way to go.

Phantoms hold Tim Austin to 14 for 40 with 2 fumbles as they once again roll over Tulsa for a 35-7 victory.

I wish FOF had the same concept of "garbage time" as I do so I'd still have all my starters. I think Stanfield played the whole game.

                        WOOT!

Sante threw 2 more INT's and fumbled the ball away at the Portland 1 yd. line. Then after taking the lead with less than a minute left, we allow Caro to march down the field and commit an unsportsmanlike penalty to allow them to attempt a game tying FG. Lucky for us it cam up short.

                        Good game Portland.
Good game Boston. I was hoping home field advantage would be enough to get the Seals over the hump, but as usual they came up a bit short.

Our kicker has actually been semi-productive, but for some reason he struggles on clutch kicks. Sadly, he's actually the least of our problems at this time.

We've been pretty happy with our two rookie WR's thus far. Hopefully they'll stay healthy and continue to be productive for us this season.
