Wait a minute, first it is the offseason for many teams and things die down. But as for myself since I must be one of the 20 guys that shouldn't be in the league I guess... I warned Cringer along with all the commishes in each league I am in that I wouldn't be around as much since I am in the middle of a move, well I actually move on the fourth, but my internet time has been severely limited and around the fourth until who knows when I may have none at all, now that shouldn't happen but I am allowing for the possibility... I will try to vote tonight but I think it is shitty that a tag is just slapped on me and perhaps people like me. To my knowledge I missed no weekly exports since I joined, and while I can appreciate the enthusiasm, this is a voluntary vote, right?

Anyways, I am betting I get ragged on for this opinion, but I felt strongly about this.

    Later.
Hey, thanks for sharing your opinion, but it changes nothing for me. I'm in the midst of moving myself and only have internet access at my parent's place. These Owner Awards were supposed to be fun and actually mean something. I think it'd be a lot cooler to have a player on my team win an award that was voted on by league members rather than the CPU.

My statement may have been a little overboard, but it's getting pretty old. This league could be so much more, but guys just don't see it.

Voting has been open for a whole week. If you can't check your e-mail, check the board out and make a simple vote, then I say see ya. You're right. This is the offseason, but it doesn't mean things should die down. Check the board a couple of times during the week and stay involved. We may have a trick up our sleeves in regards to the draft and it should be lots of fun. But not if guys are going to stay all stealth and shit.

There's no point in having the awards if not even a 1/3 of the owners vote. I doubt you'll get ragged on. Who's here to rag on you besides Jave and a few others? :P

I have no problem with what you said, and yes exports coming in are most important.

And even though I do not really like calling out owners for this stuff (I did it once early on and had a complaint), I have done as much as I can at this point to make this league as good as possible, and to give guys reasons to be active and be interested. There are other guys who have done just as much as I have. So I let sovstar's bitch go, and even emailed it out, hoping it might light a fire under a couple guys.

It is not mandatory, this time, but it would be nice if guys voted on this. Hell, the guy with the leading candidate has not even voted.
My banner is bigger and prettier and cooler then yours. I choose not to show it so your feelings do not get hurt.

You took the time to write that entire post, and in some respects I agree with you....but you still didn't vote?

              1. Cringer you have went above and beyond IMHO. I check out the Mules daily, at least try too. Now I check out the Titans multiple times a day, but what can I say fan is short for fanantic right?? But other guys probably do the best that they can I am sure. One suggestion would be to take advantage of the FA stage and try and sign those stubern potential FA's before the real off season begins. Grabbing FA's for non PO teams is a no-no but you can try and lock up your own guys before they reach the market.

              2. Bolts, just do the best that you can and it will be fine. That goes for all the guys and gals??? involved. Heck my vote was based on who played best against the Mules, pick a guy at random if you can't devote 5 mins to make a more informed vote.

              3. Commissioners. Yall got a thankless job and contribute more than people realize. You got all the responsibilities of Cringer without the power.

              4. Everyone. It's playoff time in the IFL, just do the best you can and enjoy. It's supposed to be FUN

If Chares Yon had not missed 3 games, hands down he would have gotten my vote. Unless Burt Guyette played all 16 as well. Then he would have it.

Brett Bond, VooDoo, and Adam Land made it to my final two. Beau Brown of Columbia gets honerable mention for what it's worth.

My vote goes to Adam Land.

                        Charles Yon.

And I'm not as active on the boards because I came in VERY late in the season and am still "feeling my way around" so to speak. But yeah, looking over the stats, both Yon and Land had stellar seasons - but I saw Yon as just a LITTLE more of a differencemaker.

Yon racked up most of his numbers in just one game. He did win that game all by himself, but having played the Cardinals twice Yoon never scared me. Now Roscoe "I Ain't Robert E." Lee I am terrified of now.

Actually, Yon did have 2 other games late in the season in which his big plays helped StL win the game....
