I agree completely. That's why I tried to word my post as I did. If we decided on 5 hours, if people want to take all the time, we shouldn't be mad about it, they are just playing by the rules.

The problem is not that 5 hours was taken. It is things went just over 5 hours, and so the pick was made by a mod, Jeff. I don't blame Jeff for making the pick, I was about to do the same. I decided to wait a couple minutes though because I saw something was going on and didn't know what exactly. I wanted to see what played out so no one got screwed.
hawkster was in the middle of moving te picks when Jeff made the pick. Both seem to have been done at the same time, so Oakland ended up getting his pick he traded for, but a player he didn't select.
So hopefully VPI sees my PM and can remove it sometime so Oakland can then make his pick.My banner is bigger and prettier and cooler then yours. I choose not to show it so your feelings do not get hurt.

not to be a bitch but Texas went over and we selected a player. If you play with the clock and get burned its your problem. Getting the pick traded doesnt add time to the clock. AQU suffers the consequences and can try to trade his new LT.

5 hrs is 5 hrs i don't care if a trade is in the works. The trade should have been done before to give yourself some time. The pick should have been made. It's pretty sad when guys sit on the pick all day just to try to move the pick.GM Cleveland Clawz

Mules 'slain what happened with 2.28 and 2.29 - from the Mules perspective.
Mules offered the cursed Assassin 1 in 2008 for 2.28 and 2.29 - Hawkster is pondering other offers and two CBs that the Mules were targeting fall at 2.23 and 2.24. Mules withdrawl offer around that point. When Matadores have been on the clock for a while Mules evaluate and make another offer for 2.28 and 2.29 making it known that situation would need evaluating once commute home was complete. While heading home Hawkster reads PM and when I arrived home that is when all the action began with like 15-20 mins left on clock. Mules needed a future pick to do the deal and Hawkster went another way. Yall know the rest.
The delay is my fault as far as me having to drive home and all.
Again I will accept my share of the blame for holding things up for the last hour of 2.28/2.29sigpic

I missed this whole thing while at a country concert with the wife(Brad Paisley and Terri Clark) Loads of fun!!
My take is simple. If you know you're going to try and trade your pick, do so before you're up. Don't try and trade the pick while you're on the clock. If you've got conversation going, that's cool. This type of thing can be avoided.
That being said, I don't claim to know all the particulars, I just wanted to admit to someone that I was at a country concertNEWARK BULLDOGS WALL OF HONOR

My excellent WR scout now has this "poor man's Mercury Halbert" as having a 29/60 rating. :dancing:Originally posted by CringerPoor man's Mercury Halbert.Originally posted by Warhammer
I'm interested to see how he develops. He is certainly an intriguing pick.Los Angeles Matadors AC West Champs: 2037

On the flip side, he was the next WR on my board, I just had him slotted a round too late.
