AFC Playoff picture
If Hartford wins or ties next week they are in as the #5 team.
If Louisiana and St. Louis win, St. Lou gets the division, and Louisiana gets the #6 spot, if Hartford wins. Additionally, in an odd twist, Louisiana takes any tie break with Albuqueque involved, so if they win, or Albuquerque loses, Louisiana is in.
After that it gets confusing. In NFL rules, all ties should be resolved first in the division, and THEN in the conference. If this is the case then Louisiana has the inside track in any circumstance that involves ties, otherwise you need a PhD to figure it out. I will assume that FOF does not resolve ties in the division first.
If Norfolk wins under this scenario, Hartford and Albuquerque would go (provided Albuquerque wins) due to their conference record. If Albuquerque loses, Norfolk would go over Louisiana, if they are tied.
Fresno is mathematically eliminated under every scenario I have looked at.
Out of the 8-7 teams, Louisiana has the best shot to make the playoffs. If they tie with Albuquerque or Hartford, in either a three way situation or a two way situation, they have the head to head advantage.
Now if it does the tie break based upon division seeding first things get VERY interesting. In that case, Anchorage would have the tie break advantage over Albuquerque if they win and other thing happen (this tie break would go to the strength of victories). Norfolk owns the divisional tie break over Hartford based upon their record against common opponents. So, if this happens we are looking at the following:
1) Hartford gets in if they win, or if they lose and Albuqueque and one of St. Louis or Louisiana lose. They cannot win a tie break against Louisiana or Albuquerque. DAMN that common opponents hog wash!
2) Norfolk gets in if they win, if Albuquerque wins they are the #6 seed, if Albuquerque loses they get the #5 seed.
3) Louisiana gets in as the division champ if they win and St. Louis loses. If they win, they have a two-way tie break advantage over Hartford and Albuquerque. So, if they win, they are pretty much in. If they get in as the WC, they will be the #6 seed. The winner of the Norfolk - Hartford game will get the #5 seed.
4) If Louisiana loses, and Albuquerque wins, they get the #5 seed if Norfolk beats Hartford, but the #6 if Hartford wins.
5) If Anchorage beats Albuquerque, Norfolk and Louisiana lose, I believe that Anchorage will get in based upon their conference record.
Now I know why the NFL only does these things the last two weeks of the season!

I went back to the last two games and I tell you...my Stallions are playing very well on offense but we're finding ways to lose to. Cleveland got a special teams play, The Bolts capitalized on turnovers to get back in the game. I really wanted to see how Tart would match up against playoff teams too <_<[Vito]Stallion

Wow, crazy game, but turnovers late killed me. Gave the ball away twice in the last 4 minutes. Can't win a game doing that despite leading from the opening drive until late in the 4th. Fargo's QB had a hell of a game to keep them in it. Got a must win game against Anchorage this week. Looking forward to it.

Yes, I just hope his speed isn't just a tease. 4.32 isn't nothing to sniff at, especially for a qb. But he has to develop the other aspects of his game and he runs alot, but I wish he would run more. lolOriginally posted by sovstarYes. He should be a fun one to track for years to come.Originally posted by BurlingtonBoltsSepulveda is one slippery ass mofo, aint he?! lol

Suicane,
I did not check the possibilities with St. Louis since my 2 year old was not giving me a chance to.
However, if you lose, your best bet is for Louisiana to lose as well. You would still be the AFC South champ due to your head-to-head sweep of Louisiana. If you lose and Louisiana wins, I think you are eliminated. Your conference record is worse than Norfolk and Anchorage, both of whom would need to lose for you to tie for a potential spot.
And I do not think there are enough common opponents between the three teams to win on that. Additionally, you could also be eliminated based upon being swept by both teams during the regular season. Which is something I am not sure if FOF models.
