  • Moving Teams?

Alright im thinking about trying to move my team to Chicago. Any objections to this I really dont wanna move since I wanna keep the conference alignments in reasonable order. Anyone else thinking about moving?

I dont believe we have any kind of restrictions on moving. Ya gotta do whats best for your team. Columbia is moving to Atlanta in a coupleof years. It's all good.

I'm one that doesn't really want a lot of teams moving around. I like the character of the league, being in smaller cities. But since your division mate is moving to LA, I guess you have to do what you have to do to keep up.

I actually would have moved however the computer signed a new stadium contract prior to our first season so I am stuck in Oakland, with a small ass stadium and no support.

Press releases have Dakota contemplating a move to Chicago

            1. Dakota continues to lose money.
            2. Chicago is looking for a team.
            3. Chicago remains geographically in the same region with Madison, Lansing, and Pittsburgh.

However, Cringer made a rule that he wouldn't allow anyone to move to Chicago because he has some personal grudge with the cities toll system and drivers. :?

I was pretty sure I did say no moves to Chicago, thanks for confirming that. Chicago blows. I am sure I wouldn't prevent it though. I will just hate your team.
My banner is bigger and prettier and cooler then yours. I choose not to show it so your feelings do not get hurt.

Whats new. I hate all teams other than my own. Some more than others.

The thread brings up some interesting points.

                  1. If two teams request a city at the same time...I wonder how the game engine sorts it out?

                  2. Does the commish have the ability to veto moves due to geographical alignment? If so, does that punish teams that are not close to metropolitan areas.

                  3. Based upon the financial system that we are working in, is it possible to make money in these rural areas--Note Newark is siphoning off of New York city in order to make money. If we can't make money, eventually we will not be allowed to offer contracts to coaches.

Just some random thoughts as I think about it.

Do we need commish approval before requesting a move?
