    2007 Free Agent Preview
These are just the guys who are in the last year of their contract. Alot of them will likely be tagged, but it's a cursory glance at what could be available. They are not ranked in order, i just went down the list of teams.

    Quarterbacks
    1. Edward Latham (Cle)- Not the greatest thing since sliced bread but a solid system QB who will more than likely command decent dollars and a starting spot on the open market.

    2. Harrison Hynes (Orl)- Led Orlando to a IFL title and has had 4 good seasons. He's a quality starter and will demand that type of money if he hits the market.

    Runningbacks/FullBacks

    Wide Receivers/Tight Ends
    1. Gary Ferreira (Alb)- 4th year WR with solid overall skills who could be ready to breakout, will likely be tagged.

    2. Daniel Rich TE (Col)- Stud Tight End. Near maxed out, great receiver.

    3. Max Brown WR (Ver)- One of the leagues premiere WR's, would command mega bucks if he hits the market but I dont see Vermont letting that happen.

    Offensive Linemen
    1. Brian Gutierrez C (Anc)- 14 year vet had his best season ever this past year, a powerfull run blocker. May retire.

    2. Louis Kingston G (Anc)- Very strong main ratings, a 9th year vet with above average numbers. Coming off a broken leg and has been nagged by minor injuries his whole career.

    3. Lowell Stubblefield G (Dak)- 5th year guy with very nice ratings who has never put up big numbers. Coming off a torn rotator cuff.

    4. Richard Mahler C (Hou)- 70 rated. 8th year, very good overall blocker. Will command good money if he isn't franchised.

    5. Joseph Lynch C (Mad)- 10 year vet, super pass protector, very good at everything else. A starter for sure, and a good one at that.

    6. Albert Narvaez C (Mon)- 6th year guy, 50/61 rated. Has never gotten a chance to be the #1 Center in Montreal but has the ability to be one. Will surely land a starting job somewhere this offseason.

    7. Jamey Lasley RT (Mon)- The premiere Tackle ratings wise. A solid player only in his 4th year, should command some good money if he hits the market.

    8. Theo Olivarez C/G (Tul)- Center who plays alot of Guard and plays it well. 12 year vet coming off a superb season blocking for Tim Austin and allowing only 1 sack. Will be a tremendous addition to any team if he is allowed to hit the market.

    Defensive Linemen
    1. Carl Raymer DE (Anc)- Another 4th year guy. Has never played much but has decent greens that havn't developed, sleeper potential if he gets to play regurarly.

    2. Gregory Collins DT (Cle)- 13 year vet, great numbers last year, still an above average player, should deman major bucks if he hits the market again.

    3. Kyle Verdugo DT (Dak)- Quality run stop ability, 12 year vet has suffered thru injuries and underwhelming stats.

    4. Chris Razo DE (Fre)- 63 rated, quality overall defender who can do it all. Has not had a GREAT year since 2003 but rebounded nicely this past year after 2 sub par seasons.

    5. Karl Cronin DE (LRO)- Ultra talented across the board except for the hitting rating. Can do it all and is only in his 3rd year. Expect a bidding war if LR lets him hit the market.

    6. Abel Purifoy DE (Oak)- The stud of the free agent market from a ratings perspective. 11 year vet, rated 80 overall, will surely be a super addition wherever he lands.

    7. Richard Mitchell DE (Oak)- Coming off reconstructive knee surgery his 77/77 rating will surely take a hit. He's only in his 6th year though so he still may have some game left in him, if his ratings dont fall too hard he could command decent dollars.

    8. Chris Aguero DE (Por)- Run stopping stud who gets his share of sacks. A 10 year vet who brings a very good overall game to the field, will command good money in a deep DE free agency field.

    Linebackers
    1. Don Ferrell SLB (Iowa City)- 11 year vet who has solid ratings could be a help to someone short on LB talent, not a world beater but one of few LB's who could make an impact on a new team.

    2. Tim Beatty SLB (Law)- Very good run stopper and BnR defender. 13 year vet who didn't play much last year but could surely be a factor on a team if he doesn't hang it up.

    3. Gregory Avila SLB (Mad)- 15 year vet, rated 62, very solid all the way across the board. Will surely help whoever he lands with if he doesn't retire.

    4. Otis Shores SILB (Mon)- Big time run stopper and solid pass rush ratings. Only his 6th year, coming off his best season (82 tackles). Will get good looks from alot of teams no doubt.

    5. Thomas Heilman WLB (Stl)- Has good potential, needs to land somewhere where he can develop as his window of opportunity is probably running out but could be someone who gets a decent look from a few teams.

    Secondary
    1. Gary Montiel CB (Dak)- Good overall coverage skills, has never stood out statisticly though. 6th year player.

    2. Eric Brito SS (Dak)- Quality SS. Good stats, good ratings, should be highly sought after.

    3. Douglas Lamont SS (Mad)- High quality run, zone and intangibles guy. 5 picks, 66 tackles last year. Will be sought after.

    4. Mckinley Aycock CB (Mon)- Big time run and man defense ratings, durable, a guy who can definately start most places.

    5. Douglas Robinette SS (Mon)- A clone of Aycock. Big time run and man cover skills. Has the skills and will be payed.

    6. Gil Langevin FS (Stl)- Nothing to look at here, he wont hit the market.
    I luv British womenz.

With that many center in FA and the draft, they are going to be super cheap.

Dakota is making every effort to re-sign Brito (SS), the jury is still out on Stubblefield, Montiel, and Verdugo.
