I don't even know what to say about that game. Either the game really has it out for me, or it has hidden attributes i'm not aware of that make Timmerman some diva who refuses to play because there was absolutely no reason why my backup running back should have had so many carries that game.

Timmerman had 2 carries until 6:56 remaining in the first half when the game finally decided I have depth chart for a reason, and started playing my #1 back more. Not like it matters, he still finished with only 5 carries in the first half compared to his backup who had 8.

I wouldn't have minded the loss so much if the gameplan just did what I wanted it to do, but I feel cheated yet again. It's nothing against the way the Voodoo played, they had a good gameplan and probably should have blown me out if not for two red zone turnovers, but who knows if those plays even happen had Timmerman carried the ball more and we controlled the tempo of the game.

Sorry, just venting. I just feel we possibly could have snuck a few extra wins this season if not for this backup RB thing i'm complaining about right now, and possibly seen the playoffs. Anyway, good luck in the playoffs, Voodoo. See you next season

Just like to clarify, we'll return as an ingredient in the division gumbo next year!

If we could have pulled out another win or two, it could have been a very interesting year for us, we lost 10-7 to WVA on a last second TD (isn't Sanders ready to retire yet?), would have beaten Fresno except for a penalty that took 6 points off the board, and a late collapse against Lansing. We could easily have been 10-6, and a possible wild card. Not bad for a rebuilding year.

Still, I am VERY happy about the year we had. Hickman has shown that he is a good QB (his rating for the season won't show it, but take away 3 3 INT games and he had some pretty good stats...), Jamison has turned it on the last few weeks, and Cleeland proved he is an all-around stud.

Oh yeah, Cleeland was tops in LBs for sacks this year with 9.5. He could possibly be a 1st or 2nd team OLB. He should be a shoo-in for DRotY.

        We are officially bad
You started the year 6-1. Ouch. I thought your team was in at that point.

For the second year in a row, Pittsburgh wins in week 17 in a winner-take-all match-up for the division, and for the second year in a row we get to play CBA at home. Boys played tough, outgaining Lansing 353-185. I decided to go for the big pass rush this week and got 6 hurries and 4 sacks on 28 pass plays Terrell barely had time to throw anything over 10 yards. Davis kept Lansing in the game, with all 4 returns over 30 yards despite me signing a kick-off specialist just to stop him this week.

This was the first week all season that I was rooting for Dakota, to get two playoff teams from the division, but they came up just short.

Good season Lansing, your drafting the past couple of years has been amazing so you will be even better in the seasons to come.

Three more players injured, which means we are down 9 players for our playoff game. :?

Pickett got old in a hurry this year. 9 missed field goals after 12 the previous three seasons combined.

              12 penalties
              3 INT's (2 for TD's)

              44-13 loss

              Just sad. Very sad.

Well, I wasn't able to pull off the upset, but this time I can't blame it on no offense. Mathews has made a serious case in the last 3 games for moving away from Chris Chaplin. And the money I would save could be used in, gasp, free agency to beef up my D-line. And that #4 overall should get me either the WR or D-line I need.

I think I'll be back in the running next year. . .

Yes, I bet there will be plenty of good defense in free agency.

You want to take a D-line guy in the draft. The WRs you want are not in the draft.

Today, the 24 hour rule is now in effect! There will be no talk of next weeks game against.............whoever I play, nor will we discuss being 11-5, division Champions and having to play a WC game. No, none of that.
Today is a day for the players and loyal fans of the Oakland Assassins to celebrate this hard earned victory. What started on June 17th, 2004, 4 seasons ago, is finally starting to pay off!

Congradulations to the Oakland Assassins.............this years 2006 NC West Division Champions!!!!

Purifoy will be out there for the bidding, maybe Cronin from LRK unless he is franchised, but they have cap problems even without his salary so who knows. As far as DT's though, looks like a bunch of 40-ish guys.
