Looks like the Toads lose their first game ever to the Tulsa franchise. I was 6-0 against them until today. Time to look and see what happened........

Wow. I was run the fuck over. Good game HammeringJohnson, Austin killed me. Not sure what happened to my defensive front seven, but they must have taken a day off or something. My offense didn't do any better. Ugly game for the Toads. The most points I had given up all year was 20 in week 1 to Columbia, Tulsa nails me for 31.

I would have to say the Cows, with their new nickname, must have been pumped up to end the Toad domination of them.

HammeringJohnson, has Cordoba been playing SS all year? I guess I know now what you will do with all those LBs.

edit: And was Currin playing DE some? His stats from early in the year look like those of a DE. Or is he just not getting to the ball very well this year? He had his best game of the year against me of course. I still love the guy though.

          Mooooo

currin was playing DE earlier this year so he has some funky stats. cordoba, again injury prone, has been swinging in and out of the lineup all over the field. if FOF would recreate athletic "intagibles" then that is my candidate there.

but im glad I finally won one single game. 1-6. 16% winning percentage>0%. euphoric to get a win against the toads, but sad when looking at the history.

Good game Murfreesboro, looks like we both had our vaseline hands on today, fumbles all the place.

I lost my stud Tackle for another 7 weeks and am now down to my 3rd string QB, wooohooo. Seriously, im holding this together with scotch tape and chicken wire.

            Around The League

Looks like alot of workmanlike victories from teams that were favorites.
Cleveleand, Albaquerque, Norfolk, Dakota, Lawrence, Montreal and Columbia all got the job done.

Huge win for Oakland today, keeps them in the race.

            Same thing for Lansing.

            Reno got spanked though.
            I luv British womenz.

2 horrible injuries to my bookend rookie DEs of the future. What a shitty way to go in a shitty season.

Dakota stops the losing streak at 2 and climbs back on top of the division with Pittsburgh's loss (Yeah Lansing!). A very consistent game plan. Andrews and Carmack both had 30+ runs and over 200 yards combined. McGwire hit 3rd and shorts consistently when the defense was expecting the run. The offense went on autopilot in the second half which concerns me, but no INT's from McGwire. Rookie stud Buddy Page got his hat handed to him a couple of times. He may not be ready just yet for the big time, but with the loss of Stubblefield he will have to do. Hopefully we get back our injured players soon.

On the flip side, looks like Lansing kept Pittsburgh's passing and run game in front of them all day long. And "Spidey" was outstanding for the Ogres.

Got excited when Searle went out and the third stringer came in. But he did not make any mistakes and Peterson crumbled late with two picks to ice the loss.

Cardinals got way more pressure than the sacks indicate and the Mules did not get as much pressure as their sacks indicate.

                        First let me say:
2 horrible injuries to my bookend rookie DEs of the future. What a shitty way to go in a shitty season.
DAMN. They could very well be toast for their career. 29 weeks for one, 26 for another...........I am not bitching anymore about the injuries I had last year.

Now, for SLC. Can you say Lomeli? If the people in Salt Lake didn't know his name, they do now. 19 rushes, 141 yards, 2 touchdowns...........He came through big, in the biggest game of the year.
For those who still think Oakland only throws the ball........

Lomeli-10th in the league in yards, 6th in the league in attempts, and 4th in league in touchdowns. Thats 6 points for those of you mathmatically challenged.
Yea, we run the ball some here in the bay area.

WOW, is all I can say! SLC........the war continues. This series is THE BEST in the IFL. Want proof? Watch when the Stallions travel to Oakland. They will win. Has either of us EVER sweep each other? I don't think so.

Kurt Bice.............What more can I say about this guy? He comes through big in the biggest games. He IS the IFL's Jerry Rice. With 1:19 left, he catches the game winning TD, and the much maligned Kelly kicks the FG with 20 seconds left to seal the win.

Game ball goes to the offensive line. For the second game in a row, Hamilton was not sacked a single time. WOW. IF you couldn't tell, I am pretty happy with the win. Week 17? UUUGGGHHH. I don't look forward to it.

Good game Portland! Missed some good opportunities to at least score a field goal. Right now I have a wild card spot locked up so im not really worried. Cheers!

I just can't beat Lansing. One pass defensed and 3 hurries against them is indefensible. Two more added to the injury list, and another week but onto Mann's injury. We need a win over Hartford this week.
