LOL WTF? How in the hell did a team starting a QB rated 23 put up 33 points? Either that is the most perfect gameplan in the history of the IFL, or the computer decided that it was time for me to lose.
Lets see, 62 plays, 379 total yards, 9/14 on 3rd down. My QB throws for 332 yards and 3 touchdowns, my defense keeps them to 200 yards and one pick through the air :? :? :?
Yea, they rushed for 145, big deal, everyone does that on me. This game is a total mystery. If we replayed that 10 more times, they would not win again. What a crock of shit.

Damn the wheels have fallen off. We are in trouble. To second what you noticed Jave. I just played a QB who is rated a 36 and he threw for 202 and 2 TD's no picks and Columbia's RB is rated a 40. He rushed for over 100 yards at 5.1 a carry and a TD. Bloody Hell!!! If my D cannot stop that then we should be 1-3.

            Hmmph. I hate sour grapes.

Scoreboard still says we beat you, even though we may not look like much on paper.

Gus, back up QB, went a long way in guaranteeing his contract for next year. He only passed for 201 yards but spread it around and hit key passes on 3rd down. The tandem of Carmack and Andrews had Oakland guessing all day, but what it really came down to was wearing them down. They held us to field goals the entire 1st half, but after McCellion's 81 yard punt return, the Assassin morale took a huge drop, and our running game took over.

Another thing I noticed was Oakland's, Lomeli trying to run for a first down on 3rd and more than 5 and was usually stopped short.

And it seemed like the Assassin Wideouts were dropping a lot of balls.

To go along with Jeff's comment on this not being only about a battle of QB's, it is also not only about player's overall ratings.

A QB with only a 40 rating can do some good stuff with the rest of te team around him pretty solid and with certian attributes being high enough.

We basically got out gameplanned is the way I look at it. For the last 2 and half seasons we cannot stop offenses, but we have the same players. Looks like I have to dig deeper into the old playbook.

Another crappy performance behind our backup QB. 3 picks. Very nice. And we were still marginally in the game. Sad. Very sad.

Sorry I haven't done the scores on the front page. I am drained and being a slacker watching football and playing a game a bit.

Lansing won 10-3 on the legs of 'Spider' Webb. He had the one TD and 135 yards rushing.

Guess from the Renegade viewpoint it was a good game.

From Mules viewpoint Houston was over 50% on 3rd and won ToP 40-20 or so. I am scared to open the game and look at the injury report as TE Spraggins, CB Martin and DE Cox went down during the game. AAACK

I got real tired of Timmerman/Jones catching dumps for third, but that's the way it goes.

edit - wow that post was way more negative than I feel. Good game Houston.

Haha, don't worry about sounding negative. I've been on the opposite side of those type of games way too much in the past few years, so I know what you're talking about.

I thought mine and Orlando's game was pretty nice. My new addition Rich's first catch was a TD... Did not throw to him enough, but he had a few nice blocks for me.

I almost lost, going to have to re-look at that gameplan and work on the D alittle for our first road game of the year.

                              Great game Orlando... Great Game.

As for the whole rating thing. I found myself doing that alot. Looking at someone based off their rating. But learned in the playoffs that is not always the case. My back ran for almost 500 yards in the playoffs. So as they say you can not always judge a book by its cover (or players by their ratings )

What the heck is up with the new in-game power ratings? I'm a 13-point favorite on the road against Iowa City. Underdog is gonna be all over that line!
