It all depends upon one's point of view.
I see this class as a normal. . . find the backup. .. draft the backup. . and then mold the backup. . and hopefully out of 8 picks you can see at least one, hopefully three boom into almost superstars.

It is nice when you ahve no glaring needs (except WR which is completly absent in this draft) and you can really go after best available. The class is not bad, but last years class was so damn good that I think everyone is spoiled.

Would have to agree here. Our last 2 drafts were outstanding, however, if you didn't have a top 20 pick in this draft, the rest, are just backup/bench fodder.

Last year, I had needs, but the class didn't address any of them.

depends on your situation. I think I am in pretty good shape. . I can't really afford to take a different view. . .

But for teams that need to fill holes such as that soon to be retiring 16 year gaurd. . . this is a pretty good draft.

I think you may be undervaluing this draft because there are no "star" WRs and RBs.

But there are quite a few decent-to-good linemen on both sides. some of those 35/55 players may be a good fit for some teams.

I actually like this situation, like planning for Joshua Conner's eventual retirement by selecting a decent DT to replace him, hopefully. I also added some much needed depth to my O-line, And found a good MLB to replace the two I lost to FA.

This is an ok draft. . . maybe even fair.

Doubt we would've heard so much of this shitty draft talk if..

              A) Last year's draft wasn't so extremely good
              B) Jim had a way to create fictional rosters when we started this league. But he didn't and we were forced to use a 3rd-party player generator which created too much talent.

                really,

I thought we were using Cringer's college files???

So IFL did not even use the game generated draft file??

interesting to know, useless but interesting. 8)

Nah, I'm referring to the initial roster file we used to create the league. We used a fictional league/player generator made by a third party.

Wow, I thought the last two drafts added a ton of talent to the league.

Last year's draft was extremely good at certain positions. Heck, look how deep it was at RB. Even at QB it was pretty deep, but not quite as deep as this class.

This class was VERY lacking at WR, as was last year's class. Let's face it, we've stocked up on RBs and QBs. Let's face it, we don't want to spend top picks on grunt positions, we want the glamour boys.

Not sure why you're quoting me. I agree. I think guys have these unreal expectations for both the draft and free agency.

What I'm saying is that there has been too much talent on our rosters from the start. That in turn leaves guys thinking that there should be 4 or 5 80+ players and 15--20 70+ players in every draft.

A+ for me we added a bunch of lineman. Though I wish I could of picked better on that 2-5. At least we added a good guard or tackle to the bunch. Cowley doesn't even have to play this year. Orr was too good to pass up he'll be a top notch back-up...
