So where does Cleeland end up at? WILB or WLB?

Personally, my need for a top LB at WLB has dropped of so much lately I could not bring myself to spend a lot of money on a guy to play there. That is one reason I moved my 1st round WLB from last year to SLB, so he could replace Currin who I had to let go.

Of course you mentioned trying to go without nickel and dime much, which I don't have to do with my DBs being pretty good and the fact I play in the most pass heavy division in the league.

That's why I think twice about taking a WLB so high, or moving a great player like Hare to WLB: there are some games he may be on the field only half the time on defense.

Cleeland is going to move to SLB, with Scott moving to WLB. Scott will also be able to fill in at either ILB slot no problem. His ratings are not going to take a hit from moving from SLB to WLB. That keeps Cleeland on the field more, and Scott moves to a position of weakness for me.

Now, I would prefer to have a better secondary, but that is where age and injuries caught up to me the most. I planned on taking a new CB and S the last couple of years to shore up those positions. McWilliams did not pan out as expected, and Breland got hurt so everything there became much more urgent to do. However, if I can get good coverage LBs, I run less .05 and .10 defenses which will minimize the impact of a poor secondary (at least Seifert and Brown are quality players).

The problem is I also need to start turning over the OL. Guess that is going to have to wait until next year.

That was my first thought, but that was getting long already as it was so what the hell, start up another one. If it's like last draft there will be a atleast a thread per round for all the talk, might as well have a couple for the first. :P

The Mitchell for 1st round trade is looking worse and worse, although I guess 5+ years of Pierce will hopefully be better than the 1 year I pretty much could expect from Mitchell seeing as it would have been pretty tough to re-sign him especially when he hasn't exactly been lighting the league up in the pass rush dept. Still a good end though. Hopefully i'll get a steal next year with the 3rd rounder, or Pierce plays better than expected.

By hitting 'negotiate salary' and accepting his first offer?

Now why did Vancouver go and take Mr. Robinson?

GRRRR. Thought Crump was falling into my lap. Page will work though. I was tempted to go with McClelland but his endurance scared the heck out of me. Nice workout tho.

                          To move to corner, maybe.

Bradford must not be enough RB for Montreal. Cydney surprised me with the Meadows pick.

And the Fire take Goodman. Whole stinkin division is stocking up on LBs.
