Damn, SweenDawg, that was some game.

Calgary exploded into the game with ultra aggressive defense and crazily efficient offense in the 1st Q. Then we had 30 minutes where basically neither team could stop the other, but in general we were not able to control the clock because if anything our drives were too effective. Meanwhile, you had multiple long drives ending in scores and very good 3rd down play. Finally a 4Q where we were looking to kill time and you kept on coming but if anything took too long on that last drive and finally the Stamps pressure D showed up with a big stand inside the red zone. From there we were able to just see it out.

Weird game, but very exciting. There were several times where we stressed the game engine to the limits. Calgary calling a TO so they could punt inside the 2 minutes at the end of the first half (why not just let the clock expire??) and SAO should've tried the onside kick with <2 minutes to play in the 4th as we only needed one first down to kill it.

Not sure what to make of my GP. Some of it was good, some of it less so, and for the first time this year I felt we missed Stai who is out with one of the those uncertain injures.

Might get a rematch later? If we do I sure hope the Stamps are playing with home field advantage!*

*not counting on it.... i think my schedule this year is horrendous!

      gg Boots!

Lost it early for sure. We threw an interception on our first possession that set you up on our 32 yard line for an easy TD. We then can't get the ball in the endzone on our next drive and settle for a chip shot FG. Only to see you return the Kickoff 98 yards for a TD. Gross killed us on Special Teams, He had 218 yards on 4 returns. Next possession we fumble the ball that gets returned for a TD. Down 21-3 after just 10 minutes. We settled down after that but just kept on giving up big plays and as you said our drives took too much time off the clock and it ended up hurting us. Tough loss for us. GL the rest of the way.
