Offseason Schedule.

Just wanted to let you guys know that the Tue,Wed,Thu coach hiring sims will be run around 4pm est, they may be done a little later, but if i am here and in front of the computer thats when i'll run things, so don't push it.

The Post Season is by far the most exciting, and important part of this game. I may be in a minority, but I'd rather slow it down a bit.

Last year I got lucky, I went in with a plan and it worked perfectly. . .of course the plan against STL didn't go so well.

Either way, this year I have some hard decisions to make. My plan, which I thought would keep me in contention for another 2 years at least has just been flushed. And since I can't renegotiate until one day before FA stage 1, I am going to have to come up with a new plan in just an hour or two next Saturday. A day which I might be out of town.

Now granted, I don't have the cap room to go after the big FAs, I do plan on being active. But we speed through it so fast that I don't get much breathing room. I will admit that the pace does add to the excitement.

It is more than likely too late to change the schedule for this year, but for next year, can we consider slowing it down a bit? Adding a couple more Pre-FA restructuring stages would be great. The NFL gets something like 3 months to do that, we do it in one shot.

I may be complaining a bit here, but I really don't want to continue the AFC North Championship Colapse of the Clawz and the Outlaws.

Besides, I play the NFC South this year, and I doubt anyone has forgetten the Little Rock Toddlers rank in the old power rankings.

It's something I will consider. But I really do not like having the renegotiation stages before FA starts, so adding more is asking a lot of me really. Maybe one more.

You know it didnt hit me until now but the fast schedule must be what caused me to fail to repeat as division champ and to have such a bad season. Im all for making it even faster now that the pig ranchers are in the hot seat.

There had been a thought, maybe when I first adjusted the schedule and FA days I edited it out. I will get it fixed. I think Regular season week one will end up getting pushed back a week because I also need to slip in a FA day right after the 53 man roster cut-down stage.

I take it you can now do the Finalize Draft/Release Post Draft Files tomorrow with the FA 18-20 stage. Does that mean we are going to get a day of rest, or are we going to soldier on to Late-FA 1.

When do we get an opportuntiy to sign our draft picks? And how many chances do we get before Training camp?

I think the answers are during Late-FA 1, and twice. The second being after Late-FA 8 during the training camp export. I am not sure though.

Correct, twice:

1) Late FA 1, late FA 2-3, late FA 4-5, or late FA 6-8 export
2) Training camp export

Didn't see this until last night. Cringer and I discussed thing and decided to finalize the draft and release the post draft files today along with finishing early free agency, so yes, we will have a day of rest and everyone now has 2 days to do an export for Late FA Stage 1.

I am not sure I can handle not having some kind of run today. . . Is there any chance that you can re-release yesterday's files and then lie to us and say they are the extended edition director's cut?

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. Before this is over we will have had like 87 chances to sign free agents. With regular FA then the draft, then late FA. Lets not lose an entire week to put in yet another FA stage.
If people have not filled out their roster by the end of late FA, then they are not paying attention. Let get this rolling.

We are not losing any time by adding that in. The day I placed it on was previously an open day, and if I left it out it would still be an open day. The reason being is I want that extra day for guys to get their export in for the first round (weeks 1 and 2) of preseason.
