This game was something else. Penalties and fumbles killed us today. We had this game in hand and let it go. Hate to lose this way.

Up 19-7 with under a minute left we lose the game. Pitt scores a TD with :57 left. We then fumble the punt which sets up another Pitt score. They add on a 2 pt. conversion to take the lead 22-19 with :31 left. Irby then hits Wells on a 45 yard strike to set up a game tying FG by Pickett. Then Pitt wins it in OT. Tough way to lose such an important game.
Pyrrhic victory if there ever was one. It was a war in Pittsburgh. Two WR's, a QB, a FB, and an OT were all hurt for me, an OG, a RB, a LB, and an OT were hurt for Madison. This was an instant classic game, due to the implications and the way it played out. Last time we played, Irby went deep every other play and they hadn't been running much at all, so I went all-out pass defense. Boss and Irby responded by throwing for over 75% by dumping it off short during the first three and a half quarters, and Madison ran the ball over 40 times. Yikes. Then we also fumbled on the goalline, went 0-2 in field goals, and didn't convert a third down until the final 4 minutes of the game. But Mann came through, even though he broke his thumb on the first offensive play of the game, with his 11th career 4th quarter comeback in 38 decisions. The guy is John Elway.

Congrats on a great comeback season Boss, I hope we are fighting again next season, because I know that you are going to be up there. Irby gets my vote for offensive rookie of the year.

Now we get our rematch with CBA in our house that all the players and coaches have been longing for. Welcome to the playoffs Pittsburgh

    P.S. WTF is this:

1-10-MAD02 (06:39) MAD 38 Reyes ran inside the right guard for 9 yards.
Tackled by PIT 46 Rousseau, assisted by PIT 53 Sanborn.
Key block delivered by MAD 89 Smith.
Penalty: MAD - Offensive Holding. Penalty was declined.
Would you rather it be 1-11 at their own 1, or 2-1 at the 11? Bug report!

Yeah Bigglesworth i noticed that play and was thinking WTF. Anyways, do the division proud and bring home a trophy.

We have a nice rivalry going here. Every game except one i believe has gone down to the last minute.

I do have some satisfaction from this season. Starting out 0-5 is tough but we didnt quit and just kept plugging away. I hope next season we can get on track earlier.

The reason that Newark failed to make the playoffs is that in the case of a multiple team tie when two or more are in the same division and one or more are in other divisions, the first step is to get only the top team from each division and eliminate the rest. For example, to decide between Ver/Law/Nwk/SLC, first Ver/Law/Nwk were compared. Ver won that comparison because they were 3-1 against the two other tied teams, while Law was 2-2 and Nwk was 1-3. Ver was then compared to SLC, and SLC won that because they beat Ver head-to-head in week 10.
        Nice breakdown. Thanks.

Ok. Had a night to sleep on things and I have put the past behind me (at least until next time we meet). Playoff time!

By the way, I will be pulling for you this weekend. The AC South needs to make a statement. I don't think we get very much respect throughout the league.

I respect the Mules and Renegades.

STL and LOU have something to prove though. :loser:

Uhmm... We got our asses beat by our rival. Convincingly too, not much to say after that.

Plus, I am trying to figure out how to rebuild and there is no good way to do it without it being painful.

EDIT: I forgot, the last two years we were the best team in the division the last two years!

Hey Warhammer, Just wondering if you've been keeping tabs on Scott Nelson this year? Any thoughts?
The reason I ask is, I keep tabs on my former players and I'm happy to see them do well. Chris Chaplin had a solid season, and Justin Jones played well despite his ratings drops.
Also, it was good to see Mikael Hutson play well for Wichita. He had a career year

Good deal. I've reported numerous bugs to support and I've gotten replies every time. Even when it turned out to be a mistake on my part.

I think one downfall of not having an "official" board for FOF is that people seem less inclined to report bugs if there isn't a nice, tidy place to report them. It sucks when guys talk about old bugs and things that have been bothering them for quite awhile. If everything would have gotten reported, there's little doubt in my mind that they probably would've been fixed before the last (and by last I mean final) patch was released. That's not to say that reporting bugs now is worthless. Chances are that remaining bugs in FOF 2004 will carry over to future games.

When the next Solecismic game is released, I think it'll be worth exploring other options for bug reporting. Perhaps a simple fill-out form at solecismic.com or maybe even a separate bug forum at FOFC.
