      GG Aaron,

It has been some time since IWC won the bowl (2044 was our last and we have lost 6 bowl games since then). But we have tied Tulsa for the most IFL championships with a very close 24-23 Tribe victory.

The huge play was Pete "Polarizing" Crespo's pick-6 near the end of the 1st half. I think the "Polarizing" idea came from the mock draft team that was divided on Crespo's value. It would be interesting for them to weight in now. QB Mills won the bowl MVP, but Crespo would get my vote.

In terms of planning for the game, I was really concerned about the running ability of Rondell Pierce as he had almost 800 rushing yards on the season. I dislike the spy defense, so went with my standard defense plan. Pierce did some damage, but Mills gained more yards and scored a TD.

Congrats a an outstanding season. Competing in that tough NC West making a bowl appearance is quite an accomplishment.

That was a tough one to stomach. Mainly because we got up 14-0 and appeared to be controlling the game pretty well. We had the double working on WR Meyer and was keeping RB Battle in reasonable check. We were moving the ball well on offense. Things seemed pretty optimistic until that brutal pick 6 when we should have just taken a knee. I cant stand when stuff like that happens out of your control. The 2nd half was either a tie or a 7 point deficit for us. Things had definitely shifted and we had alot more trouble converting on 3rd downs. Our biggest downfall seemed to be failing in the red zone and settling for FGs. We were there alot and just couldnt punch them in. We got within 1 and then had 2 chances to go ahead and the IWC D stepped up. I cant complain about not having all the chances in the world to get it done. Everything was pretty even for both teams. Just some key moments and stops on D for Iowa. Man.. tough one to lose.

Its been quite a while since I made a bowl in my 2 leagues so this was a really nice season. Its been a very frustrating past 5-7 years in Colorado. We seemed to have the all the components to get to more of these games but our division has been so brutal we usually miss the playoffs by 1 game or get in as a WC and lose to tough teams. I would like to deal QB Pierce in the off-season since I moved up to 1.2 to draft a rookie QB last year. This was one of his best seasons so hopefully someone will make an offer on him this time. If not.. I think we just keep it rolling and let the rookie keep sitting and learning. Not a terrible place to be in for this franchise.

GG Dawg! That was definitely a watchable bowl game. We probably put up great numbers for the networks. haha

GG to both of you, that was a really fun game to watch on Solevision. Congrats to Iowa City with the big bowl win and congrats to both on good seasons. Had a feeling it'd be a close game, but that one was tense to the finish.

Congrats Tom and commiserations Aaron. Two great teams lead to a great bowl game.

Tom, as for Pete.. Your question has prompted a firestorm of he said he said emails lol. I attempted to blame not having him in the first on a technical error, others are certain they were on him first as being great. He, to this day, remains polarizing. Perhaps this bowl performance helps him go down in the lofty annals of Tribe history, as he will surely be not forgotten in ours.

                  Rylan,

Sorry, I didn't intend to stir up trouble!!! Hopefully, Pete will continue to polarize opponents. Or should that be pulverize.

Anyway, the notes from your mock draft that year led to a fun nickname.
