Cringer, call it what you will but a win is a win. Suicane is going to be pissed. The VooDoo will be looking for some love in the power rankings after beating the 3rd ranked team with a backup QB that happens to be 4-1 as a starter, a sub 50 QB rating going into the game, and has 2 4th quarter comebacks. Anyway, thank God for my defense.
I didn't mean steal as in you got lucky. It was more along the lines of it being an ugly game in many ways. Atleast looking over the stats. Neither of you dominated, and there were several turnovers if I remember correctly. Never meant to make it sound like I thought you were lucky.

Good week for the Phantoms thanks to Salt Lake City. Vancouver also had a great chance at the end to beat Vermont but just couldn't pull it out.

Unfortunately Newark is back in the NFC East picture as expected.

Uhh, I'd say we're far from "in it". I've only got luck on my side. I figure I've got to run the table here.

Mules win off gifts. Wichita had 5 Turnovers including one returned for a TD. To top that off we committed 15 penalties for 106 yds. Cant win like that. Im disgusted with that performance.
It's true that Wichita committed 5 TO's, but the Mules had 2. Mules scored 21 points off TO's, but 7 was after swapping picks between the 20's so that is a wash and 7 were a defensive score - which the Outlaws essentially had with their TD ( a return to the Mule 4 I believe), so the Mules were up 1 TD net on TO's - I'll take it as Murfreesboro moves up to 31st in +/- at -11. ops:

can't argue with the 15 penalties

real story of the game was this:

&Offense: Strong Formation, Three WR, Strength = Right.
&Defense: 43 Alignment, Dime Personnel, Man-to-Man (Loose), Pass - Aggressive. Blitzing: 98 Tran.
3-08-MUR47 (06:04) MUR 3 Willoughby pass completed to 3 Willoughby for 12 yards.
Tackled by WIC 25 Kinnard. &The receiver ran his route right over the middle of the field.
&Willoughby gained 2 yards after the catch.
&The quarterback threw away from the double coverage.

as you can clearly see William "Wild Bill" Keen had the perfect play called for 3rd and 8 - Willoughby's Alley-Oop 10 yards downfield to himself will definatly be on all the highlites this weekend. Was Willoughby hustling and happened to be at the right place at the right time - YOU BET Cause it was designed that way. The rumors that Manuel was running towards the Head Linesman to whine about the bad language the Outlaws were using when the ball richoeted high off Wichita DT Ruth's helmet when the ball stuck in his facemask knocking forward are just childish. as "Wild Bill" Keen drew it up Manuel only had one option, himself. All the other 5 receivers were decoys. A bold call and a heady veteran play if ever there was one.

Willoughby wins his fourth PoG and he still has the Murfreesboro front office's complete vote of confidence

damn, i now have the highest scores offense (per game) in the league. 26.7. SLC is net with 26.6, then Norfolk at 26.0.

                I never noticed that yesterday.

League record is 24.5 by Columbia in '03. One of the three team above should break that record.

And, if it is Norfolk thats a big story. They are also on pace to break the defensive record set by WVA in '03. WVA had 11.8 ppg allowed for the season, Norfolk currently gives up 10.2.

Anyone not think Norfolk is the AFC favorite right now?

Well, some of the better QB's went down with bad injuries the first two years, so I would say that had an effect. The rest of the 'top level' QB's were a little to undeveloped. Things seem to have picked up this season as several QB's are now fully developed.

You look at the top QB's this season and most of them are 4-6 year guys. Mine is in his 4th year, and had a rookie skill level as a 2nd year guy when we started this league. That seems about how things have gone. I think over the next couple of seasons we won't see many of the '03 and even '04 records around.

I think the game planning here is superior to other leagues as well. I have seen more upsets here than I have in other leagues. That is normally a result of gameplanning.

You know, I was going to say that, but I was going to do it more of in a joking way since cthomer said it earlier about IHOF on FOFC.

No offense to guys here, I do like to think we are superior then the rest.

edit: and lets not bring my Internet League record into this Bush.

I am pretty sure that anyone with playoff hopes in the AFC is extremely worried about the Vipers. After getting beat, badly by them at home, I am.

The rest of my opponents have a combined record of 23-34 so I think it is safe to say I am in the drivers seat. But the idea of playing Norfolk at their place, is really putting a ham,per on my championship hopes.

What really worries me, is that in our last meeting. . they didn't even try to run. . they passed against me! I couldn't belive it.

I really hope that they fall before I get to them, I would rather play any other team than them, including the Fire, SLC, or STL. Even those Toads
