MVP So Far?

Looking thru the league stats and nobody really stands out. Anybody see anyone who they think is having a MVP type season?

As much as I like to look at spots other then QB, I only see for sure contenders there. Julian Cartagena, Nigel Booker, Harrison Hynes, Ralph Given.

I think Booker is having the best year stat wise but they'll need to win the division for him to get it I think.

I'd vote for Dewitt Flynn. The team is #1 so far (with apologies to Norfolk), and he takes over games.

that was who i thought of first, but then i was reminded of his YPC when i saw his stats and i kind of knocked him down for that. maybe unfair of me but i did it....

Gary Davis, DT - Portland. Leads the league with 8.5 sacks and is the only IFL player with double digits in both PRPct and TkPct.

Grady Gomez, WR - Salt Lake City. Projected to go over 2000 yards receiving.

I think he has low YPC because he doesn't have the long runs. But his function on Orlando is more to control the game and ToP than to break the big play.

I refuse to comment or prop my boys because I am biased, but you guys pretty much nailed it on the head on Dewitt's role. He is too old to get 4 yards a carry anyways.

Hynes is really coming into his own, freaking finally!!

Cartagena is always a big producer. We beat Columbia but we could not beat Cartagena, he was a monster!!

Take away his ONE bad game where he threw 5 picks, and Gene Hamilton has thrown for 1800 yards 16 touchdowns against only 6 ints. Thats not bad for a second year QB.

This thread made me think about my own MVP, and off the top of my head I don't know who that is. Nobody is really having a stand-out season. Maybe I am just overly critical of my players, but it seems that a different players stands out in every game in my mind.

I buy that arguement 100%. I usually feel the same way about my team. One defensive player stands out a game, but the next game it is someone else. Even on offense, my WR's have taken turns stepping it up.

By default I guess Ralph Given would get it, but I would not give it to him without an arguement. He makes some mistakes that drive me nuts sometimes.

Brunell was a good QB I thought, he just didn't keep it going long. Like a Kurt Warner with slightly lower highs and not suck a huge drop off.
