It's nice to get that first win of the Sante era...and watch out if you play the mules...that D-line is already scary - they are going to end the careers of quite a few qb's.

Nice job, Pirates. The Columbia D wasn't very clutch today.

Glad to see we exorcised the Demons

The Stallions look to have finally woke up from their slumber and are doing it with balance.

James Tart finally played up to his offseason contract with 134 yards on 25 carries and that allowed us to keep the Demons off-balance (I saw a lot of 2-deep / 3-Deep zones when my RB's were gashing him off tackle--love it when that happens

                  Good game Demons!

No it was you, not Suicane. Stop trying to throw the blame onto someone else.

I have the PM still, were you start off by telling me to let Loren know it is over. Or do you not remember that?

And there was much joy in Pittsburgh.

The game was much closer than the final score indicates. You know it wasn't a particularly good game when an OG is named the player of the game (Superstar Butch Anderson, 5-11 krb), but the real player of the game should have been Daugherty (thanks Newark!) who had a 62 yard punt return for a TD with the game tied at 16 in the 4th quarter. Turnovers though may have been the key to the game, 0 for Pitt and 2 leading to 14 pts for Vermont.

I haven't played a team yet that had lost a game when we played them, and I play 3-0 Dakota and 3-0 Little Rock in the coming weeks.

How about this passing breakdown for Vermont:
                      Code:

                       Distance Pass	Comp	Yards	Ave
                       Screen 3	2	6	2.0
                       Short (0-8 Yds)	7	4	24	3.4
                       Medium 14	3	40	2.8
                       Long(19+ Yds)	10	6	220	22.0

Pittsburgh Power NC North Champs: 2005, 2006, 2009

7 sacks for the Mules, wow.

Latham #s were a little better this game but they were inflated by screen passes going for some good yards. Next three games are killer.
Age and injuries have caught up to the Grizzlies, as well as lack of an effective QB. On defense, lack of a stud a MLB (granted, I have two pretty good young players there, but the lack of a vet hurts), an aging RDT, RDE, and FS, and the devastating injury to Mac Breland (which really puts me in a tough cap situation) really hurt, as did the injury to Julian Schwab last year.

What has me puzzled is how Mueller has completely fallen apart. I have been playing with the same general game plan, but he has looked absolutely atrocious. My receivers have not been getting open, and we are just playing like complete junk. I had expected to hold Cleveland somewhat in check on the ground, and instead they go for 4.4 YPC, it certainly does not look good for the Griz this year.

Yah, those damn turnovers had me pulling my hair.. third quart, I'm up 9-6, fumble at 30, Power score a TD on the ensuing play. Kickoff, start play, can't get things going, punt.. PUNT RETURNED FOR A 63 YARD TD.. I spit in your general direction... to add insult to injury, I get the kickoff, start moving upfield... INTERCEPTION RETURNED FOR TOUCHDOWN..

                            Piss on me...

Crespo was terrific again today. He's now 3rd in the league in rushing.
Scott Nelson continues to have a hard time in Newark.
Jaynes had a game clinching INT at our 2yd line with under 2mins remaining.
We sit on a bye this week and wait for OAK.

                              Good game Tulsa.

Ughh, very upset with my offense today.

40% completion % is not cool. Time to shake up my gameplan a little because this one isn't working at all.
