  • Draft booms and busts.

Although I thought this was supposed to be taken care of in one of the last patches, it wasn't. You can still see who is a boom or bust amongst the rookies before they are signed.

So, with a quick look so far, Columbia seems to have both.

Their 2nd rd. RB Marty Webber seems to be a backup after all, as he has dropped in potential.

Then Columbia's 5th rd. pick, LB Lawrence Linthicum, looks like a first rounder now.

Another one I see is Pittsburgh's 4th round pick, NT K.C. Cajigal. Nice boom there.

Holy ! I didn't even notice that! Haha I was pissed for days that I couldn't trade into the second round to get my DE , now this guy is rated 11 points above him!

Yeah, nice d-line there Mr. Big.

Noticed another one, smaller though I think. Lansing's 4th round C is better I think. Not a ton, but still a good future center now.

What is considered a boom or bust, and what is just refining the numbers?

I find a boom to be a guy who was a 4th rounder with potential in the 40's who is now a 70 or so to be a boom.

A guy who had potential of 60 or so, and is now in the 30's is a big bust to me.

There are smaller moves of the potential numbers, so some may be borderline booms or busts, or maybe just a few point difference the his pre-draft grade.

I guess the boom/bust is in the eye of the beholder, and what you think one is. Theones I have mentioned are 100% booms/busts to me.

my second round pick OLB Jonathan St. Louis is up 6 to 73 as far as future potential. Not a lot, but significant..puts him up there in Barber territory

and Vancouver's new TE Chad Strong looks like he could be the best TE from draft now...

I would say no on both, nothing major anyways.

Jay Caro is about 43 potential now. Kidding.

Your 5th round WR is in the low 50's, I assume that is up a little but not sure.

Looks like SLC safety Shanahan taken in the 4th round is a boom too.

You didn't get that in the Sports Page draft review, do out shortly.
