  • Question about Calgary's past

Memory isn't what it used to be, so I need help from the IFL veterans who have a better memory than I do: what team was Calgary before they rebranded? Oakland or California?

Just curious. I see the Oakland Assassins and California Heroes in old links and trying to pinpoint the history of the team.

Jave with the Oakland Raiders was the original “Trust the Process” guy who always talked about his three or five year plan. In the first rookie draft in 2004, he took QB Gene Hamilton #1 overall and RB Wesley Connell #2 overall. Both ended up in the hall of fame, but neither won any rings in Oakland.

Also, if you look at the old boxscores through the team schedule, you can see the old name. The schedule updates with the changes I make, but old boxscores don't. Unfortunately, pre-2010 seem to be gone.
