I expected a loss to IWC today, but we ended up with with 122 yards of offense and 156 penalty yards. They were 5/6 on 3rd downs of 10+! They had more passing yards on 3rd and 10+ than we did for the entire game.

I lost both QBs to injury, so I had to use my 2nd year WR as emergency QB. He's only a 25 ovr as a WR, so god knows what he is as a QB. But he went 4/6 for 72 yds and a TD. And also ripped off a QB sneak for 46 yards. QB controversy in Tulsa?

We had all the stats but the score went in your favour. Not being able to run the ball is killing us. Second season in a row that RB Peterson has started slowly. I hope he picks it up like he did last year.

Ouch. Both offenses looked bad. Or both defenses looked good. We had 400 yards of punting. GG

That's a probability anomaly for sure.
I am 5'9 and a buddy of mine knew a bouncer in the French Quarter who was a former OL for Syracuse. He had to be 6'8 and over 300 lbs. Walking behind, I can literally see nothing. I can get how a 5'10 or a 5'11 could conceivably see if you are "neck level" or above, but at 5'7 it would be like looking through blinds.

[My buddy and I walked in a literal wake as people just gawked at him as we walked down Bourbon Street.... very funny!]

                    -------

Anyway, the Lancers pulled out a victory. The offense played well enough. Womack did a good job distributing the ball to a number of different guys, but Rich is still "Da Man." Vermont had a heck of time keeping back my lineman committing a number of costly holding penalties. One series in particular had him drop from 1st and goal at the 10 to 4 and 42 (or something like that). Very odd... another probability anomaly for sure. If there is anything disconcerting is the lack of points per offensive production (+340yrds). We have yet break the 20 point barrier on offense. Turnovers are killing us now.

                      GG MrBigglesworth,

Yep, it was an error filled game by both teams. IWC contributed 11 penalties as well.

And it was our defense with shined. We gave up only 25 yards in the 2nd half.
