Decent performance on all sides of the ball. The picks helped and we never really looked in trouble. We could have even had a shutout if we hadn't given up a field goal in the last few moments

GG Bylanta. I was getting pretty frustrated that I was getting burnt on a TD on an INT and you won all the fumble recoveries, leading to another TD. My offense looked pretty dominant but dumb mistakes put us at risk. Speaking of dumb mistakes, why would your team punt at my 24 yard line when you were down by only 8 with less than 8 minutes on the clock? punt??? Might want to check your preferences.

Any way, does anyone know what causes so many penalties. I far outweigh my opponents in every game. And they're big ones too, at just the most inopportune moments. And my coach is pretty high in discipline (above 3/4 bar)

        Texas - 14 | 20 - Little Rock

Good Game: Statistically, the game was not as close as the score may indicate. The offense amassed over 405 total net yards (with 188 rushing) while holding Texas to just 148 yards. Texas struggled, but found ways to score to give them a chance in the closing minutes of the game. Lancers, moved the ball at will at times, only to let opportunities slip away.

Kahn, Phillips and Hogendoorn each average 5+ yards a carry as our rushing game was unstoppable. Edwards had a passer rating of 118. The offense played solid, but had missed opportunities. (I felt like the OC let me down after calling to nice games.) Rich (WR) and Weber (TE) each had great games accounting for 195 yards of the total 217 yards through the air.

The defense returned to form. 2 sacks, 6 hurries, 1 knockdown, 7 passes defense, and 1 INT.

The downside was the penalties (9 for 84 yards) and special teams, which 6 returns for 135 yards!).

This is the third win in a row. The first time we accomplish this feat since week 17 of the 2035 season. (That year we lost just 3 games).

Don't look back Texas 'cause you have a Lancer and a fierce looking worm right behind ya!

        -------

Next up Tulsa who had a bye week. They are riding a two game winning streak and are tied with us at 5-4.

        -------

@Argot, not sure, but I wonder if it has anything to do with discipline for stuff like false start, and personal fouls, etc... the rest may be something else. Weaker players will probably hold more and interference like cause might be aggression.

You need smarter players. And the HC discipline rating still applies as was the case in prior versions of FOF. Not sure if the HC tenure helps.

          Per the help:

          Players
Intelligence - A player's intelligence, which helps them become mentors and avoid suspensions for bad behavior. Smarter players commit fewer penalties.

          HC
They are rated for discipline, which is valuable only for head coaches and affects a team's propensity to commit penalties.

Your HC Lawson has a solid bar, but you have 12 starting players with an intelligence rating in the low 40s or worse.

          AC North Division Titles: 2031-2037, 2039-2049, 2051-2052

Hard to study/test, but it's interesting observe the most penalized teams vs. player intel. The Archers lead the league in penalties with 77 and have 14 starters with an intel 36 or lower. Your Wolfpack, although not great, are closer to the middle of the league (Arizona has committed 63 penalties, the league average is 56).

We got pasted by New Orleans! I think we've gotten blown out 3 times this season; sit at 6-3 with a +5 point differential.
