      GG FF,

The IWC defense seemed to control most of the game on the way to a 22 - 9 win. We have invested heavily on the defensive side on the ball over the past two drafts and that is paying dividends.

I still haven't figured out the riddle as to why our offense is struggling in FOF 8 when we lit up the scoreboard in FOF 7.

Argot's frustration in the end, was my exasperation in the beginning. I thought once again, my game plan would be altered to "come from behind again." Amazingly, the OC stuck to it and we gradually fought our way out of the hole.
        Little Rock : 27 | 20 : Arizona

14 points down within the first 8 minutes of the game on a long TD play and a fumble. The second quarter saw both teams settled down and an exchange of field goal. Patience was rewarded with 14 play 74 yard dive taking 9 minutes that culminated in a FG. The Third quarter saw another long drive with a 13 plays 87 yard drive taking 6+ minutes resulting in a TD to bringing us within 7 points. We followed that with two drives; 7 and 8 play for 62 and 72 yards respectively. resulting two more TDs and a lead. A late turnover gave us a chance to kick another FG giving us a 10 point lead late in the fourth.

We did it through hard nose running; bits at a time. Kahn and Hodendoorn average less than 4 yards carry and never had a run over 11 yards. 3rd down passing was unusually good, WR Rich was effectively taken out of the game, but last year's rookie sensation, Gabe Tyler, jumped into the void and had a good game. Edwards played above himself with a passer rating 120; he had very few games over 90 since I have been managing.

I have to say, finally, play calls consistent with what I wanted from week 1. No big plays, but a lot of little stuff here and there.

We are 3-4, but we have three divisional opponents; at Georgia, home to Texas and at Tulsa. After these games, we have travel to Norfolk to take on division leading Vipers currently with a 7-1 record. Make it or break it time in the season!

Good luck to Arizona, may your fortunes turn for the better!

The Tequila Worms slip past the winless Generals 28-21 as another heap of players succumb to injury. At 4-4 now, we still have a shot at turning things around.

Most of our wins this year have been smoke and mirrors, but this week franchise record for running yards, most offensive yards in 26 seasons, and lowest yards allowed for the Matadors in 16 seasons. Somehow at 5-2 despite a -7 turnover margin.

GG MrBiggle. We are just not a good football team right now. I really want to get a look at our rookie QB who bumped at TC but everytime rex shuffles the roster for me he picks a different QB
