21st, Sat. - Draft Finalized, start late FA
22nd, Sun. - Late FA Weeks 1-2
23rd, Mon. - Late FA Weeks 3-4
25th, Wed. - Late FA Weeks 5-8 (sovstar)
26th, Thurs. - Training Camp (sovstar)
28th, Sat. - Preseason Weeks 1-2, FA stage at night
29th, Sun. - Preseason Week 3, FA stage at night

31st, Tues. - Preseason Week 5

Above is how the schedule currently is.

Since I am taking vacation once again this week I would like to do this...

15th, Sun. - FA Weeks 8-10
16th, Mon. - FA Weeks 11-13
17th, Tues. - FA Weeks 14-16
18th, Wed. - FA Weeks 16-20 (Draft Finalized, we will be done by this day)
19th, Thurs. - Late FA Weeks 1-2
20th, Fri. - Late FA Weeks 3-4
21st, Sat. - Late FA Weeks 5-8
22nd, Sun. - Training Camp
23rd, Mon. - Preseason Weeks 1-2
24th, Tues. - Mid-week FA stage
25th, Wed. - Preseason Week 3
26th, Thurs. - Mid-week FA stage
27th, Fri. - Preseason Week 4
28th, Fri. - Mid-weej FA stage
29th, Sun. - Preseason Week 5
30th, Mon. - Mid-week FA stage

June 5th, Sun. - Week 1 2005 regular season, resume normal schedule of Sunday games, Monday FA stages.


This is just an idea, if you guys want a day or two break in there then that could be worked out.

All of this depends on if sovstar can/will do sims while I am gone. I haven't asked if he wants to do as much as proposed here, but I am sure he will answer me soon enough.

I'm not sure if this is at all possible for other GM's so I'm just tossing the idea out there....

In the interest of getting to the regular season quicker and assuming that there's enough moderator manpower willing to do the sims we could do the following with a FA period in the early part of the day and the game sim at a later point in the day:


22nd, Sun. - Training Camp
23rd, Mon. - Preseason Weeks 1-2
24th, Tues. - Preseason Week 3
25th, Wed. - Preseason Week 4
26th, Thurs. - Preseason Week 5

29th, Sun. - Reg Season Week 1 !!!!! :dancing: :thewave:

The reason I did not go that way is because from monday night on that would mean sovstar is doing two sims a day. I am not gong to ask that of him. If he offered, fine. But that is too much for me too ask.

Put him to work, 4 or 5 sims a day, he can do it, make him like one of those little African kids that Sall Struthers tries to eat.

Maybe this wasn't right in the first place, but cut day needs to be immediately after Preseason Week 5. If you want to give guys an extra day to cut down then make it Tuesday the 31st. That allows teams to sign guys (that were just cut) on the optional FA stage before the June 5th.

Also, we need to start thinking about pushing the deadlines back from 10 am to something else.

Thats the deadline for getting your export in, I get to things as soon as possible. It's my vacation, and I am trying to enjoy this one a little more then the one a couple weeks ago.

Hey, whatever your fancy is. It's usually a rule of thumb to give guys 24 hours to get their next export in. Don't see what the harm would be in moving things an hour back to a time that would more suit your regular schedule. By no means did I imply that you have only been late running things during this vacation.
