Woo hoo! Our defense forced 5 turnovers to come back and win the game on the road against Salt Lake City!

We're 7-3 and holding on to a wild card spot. And we're tied with Vancouver for the divisional lead....

And here come the inexplicable losses that will lead to us missing the playoffs by the end of the year. We end up losing in OT after starting at the Vegas 42, and Barrett throws a critical interception to... a defensive tackle... which gets returned to our 22. Vegas is already in FG range and an easy kick to win it. GG Vegas.

            GG Ira,

The Clawz outgained us by almost 100 yards. But Iowa City's 2 defensive TDs and a kick return TD put the game out of reach for your squad and forced you to pass a lot.

I hate CAL -- we had them dead to rights this time and we turn it over 5 times...3 straight seasons now. I was surprised by our effort against O-town and Vermont but this one hurt. Damn rookie.

Too many injuries to overcome....and no QB help whatsoever. Time to see if any of these rookies are worth keeping on the roster.

GG Tulsa...well actually it was pretty ugly game with both teams playing poorly for huge stretches of this one with penalties and turnovers galore by both squads. Tulsa got the ball to start the game but a sack/fumble on the first play set us up for the first score and a pick 6 in the 4th quarter was the final nail in the coffin for the Tigerhawks.

For Little Rock 5 fumbles (3 lost) and an interception kept us out of our groove. That's now 19 Fumbles (11 Lost) and 15 Ints in 11 games and the only consolation I can find in those stats is that by having so many giveaways now *maybe* the dice rolls will start going our way later in the year. Maybe....

In any event it's a win and with Georgia handling Texas last week we now have a 2.5 game lead over the Trojans for the division lead. With six games to go a 4-2 finish will guarantee us the division title so let's see how that drama plays out.

Finally two interesting highlights from the game:
                  1. Both punters had a punt of over 70 yards in this game. I have no idea if that's a first but it would have to be uncommon at the least.
                  2. Backup Thunder RB Jeff Meyer had the best game of his career with 18 carries for 188 yards (10.44/carry) and in so doing broke the single-game rushing average that was set by Dave Cassidy in week 2 this year.

great win vs. the Owls. i was very concerned about this game, but we somehow made it through.

Injuries piling up for us, so i'm hoping we can find our way through these. eek.

We won but Columbia was definitely dominating the second half. Bouie carried the offense on his back 185 yards and one td most of those yards came as Columbia came back into the game with a vengeance.

You know what's embarrassing besides my secondary failing my rushing game. 44 carries for a grand total of 90 yards this week....when was the last time that happened?

                        GG.

Unsanitary conditions at Arizona's stadium lead to half my team coming down with the flu. We are filing a complaint with the league office. One of Arizona's first round picks next year would be just compensation.
