Riggle has now broken the record for time on the trading block. I think he has been on it since late 2005.

        Hmmm....

I dont remember for sure. I may have floated him or the other Guard that is his mirror image in the past. Depending on how my new drafted guard (which i hadnt planned on taking) turns out, he might have to leave this year no matter what. He is refusing to sign a long term deal even when i offer what he is asking. Surprised he didnt hold out for 10 weeks.

I have had a couple discussions surrounding him that were pretty low ball but that might be the market rate for him. I guess if you are interested in him you should pitch a best case offer because he might leave the team for a fairly cheap price during the pre-season. Dont want any post trade complaints if he goes for some low ball price.

          Rule # 1 in being a GM:

don't admit to there not being a huge demand for your players. that doesn't give other GMs an incentive to come with their best offer. as far as other GMs are concerned, you're being bombarded with offers and the player is close to being on his way out.

Rule #1a. He is still on the block so its obvious I have not been bombarded with good offers or he would be gone. i have been bombarded with average to low end offers.

Rule #1b. This is the get me an offer if you really want him because he might just go to a team for what people will see as low offers and then say things like I would have given you X. This is the call for those would haves to pony up X. This is an incentive to other GMs.

            but thanks for the tip.

and if its too low i can just keep him and bench his lame ass this season and have him as an overpaid reserve until somebody has a catostrophic injury and is willing to pay up in week 5. and that might happen too if the offers are too low.
